The readers of this book will find out that it is not about a denomination, or a Church, it is about the everyday stories and testimonies of real womenThe "Testimonies of Real Women" unfolded as we began this journey with about 25 women from different assemblies and Church congregations. We came together to share our common concern for our families, communities, and especially our children. Each of us shared our different concerns and challenges we face daily. However, the further we got into sharing these concerns and challenges, more of our own personal struggles began to surface. Like most women's groups do, we chatted about what we had been through and how we overcame, or what we were presently overcoming. I noticed each woman had a story to tell. Some were so powerful, I began to weep right in our first meeting, and so did others. It was overwhelming to hear their stories and testimonies. I could feel their pain and hurt. The big thing about the meeting for me was: How could some of these women look so good, so fine, and so refined after having been through what they had gone through and were still going through? I was proud to be in their presence. After hearing story after story that day, I said this needs to be recorded or written down so others could read their stories and find the answers they needed to make it out of their own situations. These women had answers to things I needed and that others needed, too. The testimonies helped many to have hope. I am a minister, a pastor, a Tmentor to some, and a sister and friend to many women that needed answers everyday; however, I do not have specific answers to many of their situations, especially those I haven't been through, but I believe they will find solace in these stories.

Ms. Prime Minister analyzes media portrayals of the four female prime ministers of Canada, Australia and New Zealand, arguing that these women's legitimacy as political actors was sometimes affirmed, but as often questioned, by the news coverage they received.
