Two lighthouses down-one more to go!Sam and Becky, Jeremy and Mikey, and Mom and Dad are on the road to Pigeon Point, hoping to find the last clues in the "Mystery Word Contest." Once they do, they'll still need to unscramble the mystery word and then get to San Francisco before the deadline. The clock is ticking, but high above the Pacific Ocean, the road to the last lighthouse has thick fog and dangerous twists and turns. A walk on Devil's Slide keeps everyone on their toes, but don't forget about Dr. Boring-what if he gets to the lighthouse first? With time running out, it's all hands on deck to find the secret at Pigeon Point.
Rain puzzles and puzzles reign, when friend and foe come round again. Sam, Becky, and friends Troy, Andrew, and L.C. are doing their best to help the ghost of Stede Bonnet claim his "greatest treasure" before Blackbeard finds it. When the latest clue points them to the Smith Island Museum beside "Old Baldy," the hunt moves to Bald Head Island at the corner of North Carolina's Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. The only problem? It's Pirate Days on Bald Head, and everyone is...well, everyone is dressed like a pirate. Troy, Andrew, Sam, and Becky can't always tell who is wearing a costume and who is a real pirate. Come along as the friends explore the Cape Fear region of North Carolina's coast while helping Bonnet and avoiding Blackbeard. See how many treasure hunt riddles you can solve, and keep your fingers crossed that it's enough to unlock the secret on Bald Head Island.
When is a lighthouse not a lighthouse? Did Sam, Becky, and their friends cross the Cape Fear River just to get to the other side? What started as a summer vacation on North Carolina's Oak Island has landed Sam, Becky, Troy, and Andrew right in the middle of a ghostly treasure hunt. And now it's up to them to help Stede Bonnet's great, great, great, great, great--oh, whatever--granddaughter find Bonnet's greatest treasure. But someone else is hunting treasure too. Is it just a coincidence that the man on the ferry--the one who pointed out all the lighthouses--has a bushy, black beard? All clues are pointing to the little Price's Creek Lighthouse--even though it's been abandoned for years. But is it still? Join in as the four friends solve puzzles, follow clues, and discover that treasure hunting can be hard work and a whole lot of fun.
