She has also worked in public relations and spent 12 years as the adviser to the student newspaper at USM, The Student Printz. She is an award-winning writer and has judged writing competitions at the high school, collegiate, and professional level locally, regionally, and nationally.

It seems as though I've been around kids all of my life; at least from sixth grade until college, where I helped out in my mother's daycare business. She approached her daycares with a practical and common sense method, which has helped me with my daycare business. (Mrs. Margaret's Daycare).My vision was to present a loving, clean, caring, safe, healthy, learning and fun environment for kids (to be a part of); to help parents, especially first time parents, understand how-to parent their children just like my mom.This vision became clear to me between the ages 33-35 as I worked with and taught kids at my local church in Cambridge, Massachusetts and later at other local churches in other states.I am writing this book at age 71, which is long overdue for me (the author) and you (the parent).
