Matthias researched Enterprise Architectures, Business Transformations, and IT enablement during his doctoral studies at the Institute of Information Systems at the Humboldt-Universität Berlin and as a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked for a large top-management consultancy and received a Bachelor and a Master of Science in management information systems from the University of Muenster.
