From the Foreword, "We are living during perilous times, perhaps dancing precariously on the edge of an abyss that leads to nuclear exchange between America, China, and Russia. If there is nuclear war, there will be the complete destruction of the human race as we know it. It is not fiction, or science fiction, but reality, and it is time to choose, whether we stand for war or we stand for peace, whether we reject the madness and insanity, or embrace it, whether we let nationalism consume us, or seek a more inclusive future for all those made in the image of God." This book is the first in a series of short books which challenge the prevailing narrative of important political, social, and economic issues, from a Christian perspective. Should Christians oppose war? These days, many people are pretending that all is fine, and that life can go on as normal. Life is far from normal. War is upon us. What will you do? In World War 3, will you stand for war or for peace?
'Gutless, spineless, and cowardly, ' is how he describes the behavior of churches during Covid Hysteria. Unlike many Christians in the West, who, during the pandemic, sold out to money, a better job and reputation, Dr. Michael J. Sutton, nailed his colors to the mast, and has made a very public stand against fascism, both secular and religious. He argues that the Christian is not to comply with the state, submit to tyranny, or sign up to the loyalty tests, but to proclaim the identity, the words and actions of Jesus, and follow him, by challenging the narratives, resisting propaganda, and presenting a Christian perspective on the freedom that only God brings. In this book, he is on the record, in eleven candid, controversial, and Christ-centered conversations about the challenges of our times. They cover many of the topics we are not allowed to talk about: Covid Hysteria, Jesus, faith, Covid Theology, fascism, Ukraine, Russia, the Gaza conflict, government overreach, and indoctrination, including his controversial 2023 trip to Russia. This is the Rev. Dr. Michael J. Sutton, on the record, because freedom matters today, and we all matter to God
Today, wealthy nations are in a race for survival. It is a Baby Race. The goal is to increase the birth rate and avoid a demographic catastrophe. They believe that higher birth rates will lead to prosperity and power, while low birth rates cause economic decline and social collapse. Are they right? Is a nation with a low birth rate in trouble? Will a world with fewer kids lead to lower economic growth, and financial ruin? Many believe so. From Japan to America, China to Taiwan, the Baby Race is on, but is it a race run in vain? The Baby Race has all the hallmarks of an ideology that has been dormant for years. We all know its name, and it has returned. Dr Sutton makes a comprehensive case for an open and free society, free from fascism and free from a nation where governments blame innocent people for their inability to adapt to an increasingly complex world. Dr Sutton has been a political economist, a professor, a priest, and now a publisher and author of eight books. He is the CEO of Freedom Matters Today, looking at freedom from a Christian perspective. He is based in Sydney, Australia.
Mei is dead, a reminder that all choices have consequences. While hunting for her murderer in the mountains of China, Nathaniel Chambers receives word from an old adversary that his estranged brother has allegedly committed suicide in the goldrush town of Gulgong, in the Colony of New South Wales. Australia is the last place Chambers wants to be. The first time was for honour, the second time for duty, now it's personal. Whatever the people of Gulgong are hiding, they are at least covering up Henry's murder. But Chambers will not go alone. His cloud of witnesses haunts his every step, memories of the Opium War, the Taiping Rebellion, and the Eureka Stockade. They taunt and mock him, reminding him of his greatest curse, that he is still alive and could not save them. Biddy said that when he came, Chambers unsettled too many ghosts. In trying to save others, he tried to save himself, but sometimes the dead are best left alone. Some things said cannot be unsaid, and some things cannot be forgotten.
'One giant is enough for a world of trouble.' Attributed to Monkey, by Rabbit, after the Valley of Tears. Can Monkey, his two new friends, Rabbit and Fox, as well as the enigmatic and mysterious Mr. Big Nose, stop the giants from destroying the forest, or will evil triumph over the gentle and the good? Can Monkey bring hope or is the price of peace too high? This is a story of sadness and loss, war and peace, and intrigue and mystery. But it is also a story of hope, that tomorrow the sun may yet shine, that friendship matters, and despite our appearances, we are all on the same journey.Tread carefully humans, or what happened to the giants will happen again...
What does it mean to follow Jesus? Can a person follow Jesus and not attend church? Are you free as a Christian to vote for whomever you want? Can faith and flag go together? Is Christian Nationalism a valid Christian approach to politics? Is America witnessing the rise of the ancient enemy of fascism? Is it the duty of the Christian to oppose the flaming arrows of the Left? Are socially conservative values, Christian values, the only home for Christian political witness? Has the church lost its way? American Christianity stands at a crossroads, it is in rapid decline, and the choice is no longer between faith and flag but between witness and oblivion. When Christians give up on God, they always become fascists, and it is no coincidence that the collapse of Christian witness in America is related to the rise of what many call 'Christian Nationalism.' There is nothing Christian about it. Why don't we call it by its real name? Christian Nationalism is fascism.>Table of Contents 1 Return of an Ancient Enemy 2 Be Strong in the Lord 3 Put on the Full Armor of God 4 Our Struggle 5 We Do Not Wrestle Against Flesh and Blood 6 Is God a Republican? 7 Following Jesus When the Church has Lost its Way 8 When the Church Gives Up on Christ, it Returns to Fascism
Is God on America's side? Does God bless America? Do nations have a divine destiny? Is America exceptional? Is America a Christian nation? What does the Bible really say about nations, free speech, and citizenship? Should we fear nations? If God is on America's side, then we must fear America because if we do not, we will be fighting against God. But if God is not on America's side, we are free to do as we choose. This book is about America, it is about fear, and the fear of political power, which is one of the most powerful fears in our world today. It is also about identity and loyalty and where we find true freedom.Dr. Michael J. Sutton, the CEO, and Founder of Freedom Matters Today investigates 'Christian Nationalism' from a Christian perspective and presents a unique, radical reinterpretation of this increasingly popular political movement. He argues that Christian Nationalism should be called out for what it is, a type of Christian Fascism. People who mix faith and flag in any form, are fascists. Christian Nationalism is just an offshoot of a much older, established religion that replaces Christ with the church, faith with religion, and the Spirit with political power. Fascists seek to control the state, but Christians follow Jesus.Dr. Sutton writes: 'How you feel about your nation is entirely up to you. You can love it, or you can loathe it, you can be devoted to it, or dismissive of it, you can support it, or you can spurn it. You are free to do what you like in this respect. I do not judge America, nor could I ever, only God can judge anyone or anything. But I will say this, and I hope you are reading very carefully so you will not misunderstand me: faith and flag are not the same, they never have been and never will be. Those who confuse faith and flag are either those who simply do not know the God whom they claim to follow, or they are fake followers of God. It is as simple as that...for it is impossible to read the Bible and reach the conclusion that God is on anyone's side.
Is 'Mass Formation Psychosis' real? Is Covid Hysteria a form of propaganda or a natural response to a devastating virus? Were people in power in the dark about Covid or did they use the crisis to promote their own interests? Are fascists and Christian nationalists trying to overthrow America? Does God want us to save America and win the Culture War? Are churches right to adopt vaccine passports? Has God given churches a right to avoid taxation? What does the Bible really say about freedom? In Freedom from Fascism, a Christian Response to Mass Formation Psychosis, Dr. Michael J. Sutton provides a unique, radical, and comprehensive Christian perspective on Covid Hysteria, fascism, and the future of Christianity in the West. Dr. Sutton, the CEO and Founder of Freedom Matters Today challenges the conventional assumptions about the origins of fascism and the nature of Christian nationalism. He exposes the church's love of vaccine passports, tax evasion, and a closed Bible. He is not afraid to take on one of the most corrupt institutions in society, the Christian Church, infamous for whitewashing its history while hiding behind tax exemptions, laughing all the way to the bank. He proves there is a profound difference between the church and Christianity. Religion leads to the church, while faith leads to God. Freedom matters today because freedom comes from God and not from us. Freedom has been distorted by misinformation and fake news. Freedom matters today because we need to be free. Don't go to church, follow Jesus instead. Dr. Sutton writes: 'What does the Bible really say about freedom? It is quite possible you are a victim of misinformation from priests, pastors, and ministers who want to keep the Bible closed. Instead, they tell you to sit down, shut up, and do as you are told. It is sad but true. Our goal at Freedom Matters Today is to do something radical, subversive, and counter-religious, and that is to open the Bible and let God speak today to us about who we are, who he is, and why he sent Jesus Christ. Our goal is to break the hypnotic power the ruling class may have over you, your life, your choices, and your freedom. You have a mind of your own. Think for yourselves. Let God speak through his Word and make up your own mind. There has never been a more crucial time for genuine, authentic, real freedom. At the beginning of the second decade of this century, the best our world can offer is a menu of poisonous delicacies crafted after years of preparation. Take your pick: fascism, fear, shame, guilt, prejudice, sin, evil, or war. Human freedom is often a synonym for living in chains. Liberal democracy, always tenuous and fragile, is now morphing into fascism.Freedom matters today, more than ever, and no more than in dark places, perhaps where you are, right now. I do not know your situation. I do not know your pain, your heart, or your life. But I speak to all of you with what I can, with words, ideas, encouragement, and hope. I hope that this book becomes a resource of hope, encouragement, and refuge for those in our world who suffer in silence in all the dark places. You are not alone, and you are never alone if you know God and God knows you.It is time to step out into the light. It is time to wake up.It is time to be free.'
