Opportunità, percezione e capacità sono un tridente che spiega il bullismo, l'aggressione e la violenza su Internet e sui social network attraverso dispositivi tecnologici. Una revisione delle teorie, dei concetti e dei risultati empirici relativi al tridente mostra la prevalenza di tre ipotesi: 1) l'utilità percepita è il fattore predominante per spiegare le relazioni asimmetriche tra gli utenti, 2) le capacità sono il fattore essenziale per comprendere le differenze tra aggressori e vittime in uno scenario virtuale e 3) la tecnologia stessa chiarisce la tendenza alla compatibilità tra i dispositivi e gli stili di vita degli utenti. Dato che le tre ipotesi si basano su teorie, modelli e concetti che focalizzano il problema sull'individuo, è necessario contrastare questa tendenza con la revisione della letteratura. Questo esercizio permetterà di anticipare gli assi del dibattito e gli scenari verso i quali si stanno muovendo gli utenti delle TIC.

Opportunities, perceptions and capabilities are a trident that explains bullying, aggression and violence on the Internet and social networks through technological devices. A review of the theories, concepts and empirical findings related to the trident shows the prevalence of three hypotheses: 1) the perception of usefulness is the predominant factor in the explanation of asymmetric relationships between users, 2) capabilities are the essential factor to understand the differences between aggressors and victims in a virtual scenario and 3) technology itself clarifies the trend of compatibility between users' devices and lifestyles. Since the three hypotheses are based on theories, models and concepts that center the problem on the individual, it is necessary to contrast this trend with the literature review. This exercise will make it possible to anticipate the axes of debate and the scenarios towards which ICT users are moving.
