A pre-experimental before and after study was carried out with the aim of proposing an educational strategy to reduce accidents in children up to fourteen years of age in the Florencia Health Area. The universe consisted of 180 families with patients up to fourteen years of age and the sample consisted of 54 families. The charge sheets of the statistics department and the survey of patients' relatives were used as information supporting the need for the intervention. A database was created using Excel software. The data were collected and determined according to the classification of the variables, processed with the help of the SSPS program for Windows and distributed according to their frequencies. As a measure of mathematical-statistical analysis of the information, the percentage calculation and the arithmetic mean were used. The results were presented in tables. The epidemiological behavior of the accident victims in the study is mediated by the rurality of the environment. Family members attained more solid and deeper knowledge about accidents after the educational intervention.

Une étude pré-expérimentale avant et après a été réalisée dans le but de proposer une stratégie éducative visant à réduire les accidents chez les enfants de moins de 14 ans dans la zone de santé de Florencia. L'univers comprenait 180 familles ayant des patients âgés de moins de 14 ans et l'échantillon était composé de 54 familles. Les feuilles de frais du département des statistiques et l'enquête auprès des familles des patients ont été utilisées comme informations pour justifier la nécessité de l'intervention. Une base de données a été créée à l'aide du logiciel Excel. Les données ont été collectées et déterminées selon la classification des variables, traitées à l'aide de SSPS pour Windows et distribuées selon leurs fréquences. Comme mesure d'analyse mathématique et statistique des informations, le calcul du pourcentage et la moyenne arithmétique ont été utilisés. Les résultats ont été présentés dans des tableaux. Le comportement épidémiologique des victimes de l'étude est influencé par la ruralité de l'environnement. Les membres de la famille ont acquis des connaissances plus solides et plus approfondies sur les accidents après l'intervention éducative.
