The social sciences encompass all disciplines that deal with relationships between individuals. These disciplines are concerned with the relationships that people have with each other, either directly or indirectly. Its aim is to study the material or symbolic manifestations of different societies. Secondly, the social sciences study all human actions, whether individual or between individuals. They are anthropological in nature. It is about Anthropos and its movements within society. In this respect, we will limit the enigma we wish to clarify to the following question: is sociology a reality or an aspiration?
In this exercise, I try to ask a primordial question which consists of seeking the specificity of the relationship or the link between two opposing disciplines: theology and politics. We see in this work that the presence of theology in our daily lives is always a subject of discussion. To analyze this question, we will return to the philosophy of Locke. This thinker wrote several articles explaining that human affairs do not need the teachings of the Church. In this context, Locke finds the solution in the need to establish a civil state whose creator is man. But this new political development was not easy to achieve. In this perspective he must find a clever way out at a time when religion is absolutely dominant. This is the exercise that we have been working on throughout this attempt. In this attempt we are obliged to resort particularly to the political philosophy of Hobbes, solely to compare the two philosophers. In this work we have also attempted to dialogue with Locke - from different points of view on the political present - as well as with a group of contemporary thinkers on the theological-political question.
The question of the specificity of the relationship between religion and politics is not an old one, but one that is constantly being renewed. It appears each time in a different way from the one it precedes. The argument is the writings of contemporaries themselves, and this is what we've been working on in this book. With this in mind, we have divided this work into three sections, in which we have tried to address the difficulty of separating the religious from the political. Religion is not only a focus of politics, but is itself political. This is a vast field of interpretation. In this context, we deduce that we are faced with a question that is unlike any other. It concerns people's everyday lives. And so, how do we rid ourselves of ideological interference and found an innocent universal that protects societies from war? We aspire - through this work, which is a compilation of articles published in various specialized journals - to peace, dreaming of the project of eternal peace as envisaged by Kant.
