Caricature existed long before the newspaper and even journalism were born. Throughout this essay a complex but entertaining visual and ontological construct was assembled from which it is possible to walk through all the reciprocal themes between the history of social communication and the evolution of the language and formats of the caricature: its past, eternal and always distant and indecipherable in its communicative intention; its present, a daily event in the opinion section of online newspapers and in the public showcase of social networks; and its future, with the transition to digital format, structured by different concentrations of pixels, depending on the screen that houses it, by the click of a button, the "graphic joke" has been transfigured into an "animated journalistic cartoon", or "animated graphic editorial joke".

La caricature existait bien avant la naissance du journal et même du journalisme. Tout au long de cet essai, une construction visuelle et ontologique complexe mais divertissante a été assemblée, à partir de laquelle il est possible de parcourir tous les thèmes réciproques entre l'histoire de la communication sociale et l'évolution du langage et des formats de la caricature : son passé, éternel et toujours lointain et indéchiffrable dans son intention communicative ; son présent, un événement quotidien dans la section opinion des journaux en ligne et dans la vitrine publique des réseaux sociaux ; et son avenir, avec le passage au format numérique, structuré par différentes concentrations de pixels, en fonction de l'écran qui l'abrite, par un simple clic sur un bouton, la "blague graphique" a été transfigurée en "caricature journalistique animée", ou en "blague éditoriale graphique animée".
