A Hug from Above is just that: a hug from above. While it is a children's book about grief, it is also a book for anyone who is searching for understanding on grief and loss and how to provide answers to all those questions that children love to ask. This particular story was inspired by the author Pamela's unique situation; however the goal of this book is to bring comfort and security to all reading it; whether an ant got stepped on while on a walk to the park, or a loved one passed away - children have so many questions and they want to feel safe under the words of their caregivers. A Hug from Above helps to bridge the communication on grief, loss, and how we can honor and celebrate our loved ones.
THE CURRENT STATE OF INBALANCE We get up early and work late. We are bombarded with texts, emails and phone calls. We have mounting bills and depleting bank accounts. We eat on the run and mindlessly snack on food with little nutritional value only to see it turn into extra pounds on the scale. We carry scars with us from childhood that pop up from time to time in unsuspecting ways. We make choices we don't even realize we are making. We are tired, stressed and overwhelmed.
