This book begins with a detailed summation of what the author calls the Terror Timeline, a series of events that led up to the attacks on 9-11. Among the events covered are the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen and the investigation led by FBI agent John O'Neill; the Beirut bombings which left hundreds of US Marines dead; the 1998 East African embassy bombings by Al Qaeda; the Oklahoma City bombing and the Middle Eastern connection; the destruction of Pan Am 193 over Scotland; the Black Hawk Down incident in Somalia; and more. Kross gives a detailed description of the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 and the role played by Ramzi Yousef. He discusses the New York cell which was connected to bin Laden, and the FBI's failure to connect the dots as to its real purpose in New York; also the role of the blind Sheik Rahman who spewed anti-western rhetoric out of his Mosque in Brooklyn and his plans to destroy certain New York landmarks. The book describes the secret relationship between the US and the Pakistani intelligence service, the ISI, and the US-Saudi connection. It also covers the role of the CIA's secret unit to find bin Laden, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Able Danger program, the failures of intelligence-sharing between the FBI and CIA which directly led to the 9-11 attack, the role of mobster Gregory Scarpa and his jail-cell talks with Ramzi Yousef regarding threats to blow up American airplanes.
In October 2017, 2,800 files about the 1963 murder were made public for the first time, bringing to the fore revelations that an alleged Cuban intelligence officer met Lee Harvey Oswald in Mexico City, and praised his shooting ability, and that the Soviet spy agency KGB believed then-Vice President Lyndon Johnson may have conspired to assassinate Kennedy. On April 26, 2018, the U.S. Government released 19,000 newly declassified government documents on the Kennedy assassination. What astonishing information was released by the documents, if any? Why aren't all of the documents released in their entirety without any information redacted? Are the intelligence agencies afraid they will look incompetent and unable to protect the President? Or do they further confirm that Vice President Lyndon Johnson was involved in the assassination as earlier documents suggested? Chapters include: The Deportation of Carlos Marcello; The CIA and Soviet Mole Peter Karlow; The story of Rolando Cubela-AMLASH; Howard Hunt, Cuba and Kennedy; Operation Tumbleweed; The Death of Johnny Rosselli; Oswald and Soviet Agent Valerie Kostikov; Oswald in Mexico City; Yuri Nosenko; The MI-5 Warning; Dallas 1963 Mayor was a CIA asset; Soviet reaction to the Kennedy death; The Richard Helms Testimony; The Secret Soviet Murder Plan; The Hoover-Ruby memo; RFK and Operation Mongoose; "El Mexicano"; Bobby and Marilyn Monroe; The Tale of Frank Sturgis; The Onassis-Mahue Connection; LBJ and covert action; The Anatoly Golitzyn Secrets; Operation TILT; The Adventures of Alexander Rorke; Project JMMOVE; The Somoza Plan; Howard Hunt's Secret JFK Assassination Probe; more.
