This book explains about the fundamentals of nanosensor devices, nano based inorganic sensor devices, NEMS and NEMS fabrication, nanoparticles for sensors and circuitry, nano-biological sensor devices, and the applications of nanomaterials in supercapacitors.
The book gives very basic information about the concepts of biochemistry, microbiology and microbial synthesis of nanomaterials. The book provides knowledge about the biological membranes, molecules, various pathways, microbiological aspects, control of microbial growth and also biosynthesis of nanomaterials by using microbes.The book chapter 5 explains the detailed experimental aspects for the synthesis of nanoparticles by using microbes; bacterias, fungi, viruses and plants. Micro fluidics, a technology characterized by the engineered manipulation of fluids at the sub-millimeter scale, has shown considerable promise for improving diagnostics and biology research. Certain properties of micro fluidic technologies, such as rapid sample processing and the precise control of fluids in an assay, have made them attractive candidates to replace traditional experimental approaches. The key building blocks of nano fluids are nanoparticles; so research on nano fluids has been accelerated because of the development of nanotechnology in general and availability of nanoparticles in particular. Since the properties like the thermal conductivity of the nano sized materials are typically an order of magnitude higher than those of the base fluids, nano fluids also show enhancement in their effective thermal properties.
