When Morg Mahoney's filthy rich best friend, Heather Pierce, persuades her to accompany her on a seven-day cruise to Mexico there is a catch. It is a reunion for a group of Heather's sorority sisters from Sigma Iota Nu that she hasn't seen since graduation and she wants Morg there as support. However, Morg is not readily accepted by the sorority sisters since she's not "Greek." But when the husband of one of the sisters turns up missing overboard, Heather persuades Morg to investigate. Did he fall overboard, jump overboard to commit suicide or was he thrown overboard? Enlisting the help of two eccentric, retired twin-sister actresses and a kindly Irish priest from the passengers, as well as the ship's buff Norwegian Security Officer, Morg sets out to find the true story. The deeper she digs, the more dirty secrets she unearths about the sorority sisters, their husbands and some very strange passengers, like a former porn publisher with a cruel bent, a violent bodyguard who says he's a former Navy Seal and a pompous claimant to the Scottish throne. The only thing they all have in common is they are linked to the missing man in some way. Motives abound, but the clues are often contradictory. Then Morg herself is attacked several times, both physically and more deviously. The question becomes can she find out what happened to the husband before becoming another victim during this Greek week at sea?

The quaint Gold Rush town of Buggy Springs was a wild and woolly city in the mid-1800's, but had become an eclectic and easy going place by the 21st century. At least that's what Father Robert Bruce of St. Nicholas of Myrna Episcopal Church thought. Then a mysterious, anonymous caller who claims to want to make a confession quotes Scripture and gives a riddle. Father Robert soon realizes it's about a murder. As he starts to investigate, he soon finds that there is far more dirt than gold in them thar hills. He discovers a hard drinking, drug using, wild living side of his town he never knew. Being a young, handsome and single male, he finds some of the women to be more than friendly, but strives to keep his them at arm's length. Literally. He is warned that some secrets are best left alone, but he can't. Buggy Springs is his home and he can't let any murder go unsolved, especially when the victim is from his parish. With the help of the local chief of police, the Chief, and P.I. Morg Mahoney from Southern California, he digs deep into the past of the citizens of Buggy Springs and finds more than a few surprises.
