This 2 volume set of books is a consolidation of 506 original lists of persons who arrived in Pennsylvania through the port of Philadelphia from 1727-1808. Information to be found within: immigrants name, ages, occupation, birth place, names of ships, dates of arrival, and places of origin. This volume #2 covers 182 lists for the period 1785-1808 along with the index which mentions the names of approximately 50,000 persons. All information was compiled from the state archives.

This volume I covers the period 1727-1775 and contains 324 ship passenger lists, including captains' lists, signers of the oath of allegiance, and signers of the oath of abjuration. The index for this volume is to be found in volume 2 of this set of books and mentions approximately 50,000 persons.
