I am Taylor and my brother Drew and I love solving nature's mysteries. The first mystery book we wrote was about Montana and The Mystery of Wildhorse Island, and the second mystery book was about Arizona and The Mystery of the Grand Canyon and Climate Change. We are a little older now and this book is about our trip to Minnesota to solve the mystery of the 10,000 lakes. We both wondered how there could be 10,000 lakes in one state. We are writing this book with a little help from our dad. His name is Randy. To add to the mystery of the 10,000 lakes, we found out that there are more than 10,000 lakes in Minnesota! The people of Minnesota are nice, and they don't like to brag so we guessedthat they felt 10,000 lakes was more than enough to put on their license plates. They may not like to brag but we can tell you that they do love telling stories!!We love adventure and especially solving the mysteries of nature.Nature is everywhere and to discover its mysteries is more than fun; it's the best.Enjoy reading along with us as we discover the lakes, mysteries, and tall tales that are in Minnesota.

My name is Taylor and I am ten years old. This is the story of a trip my brother Drewand I took last summer to a place called "Wildhorse Island."Drew helped me out with this story. He remembers quite well for a little kid. Since he's only five, he was not able to help me too much with the spelling. The story is real and so is the mystery.

Little did we know when we planned to hike the Grand Canyon that the awe and magnificence of its creation and evolution would not only test us physically but also teach us how climate change created this beautiful Canyon. We sought to discover how the Grand Canyon was formed and we were not disappointed. Our focus was on the beauty and depth of the Canyon, on its vastness, on the geology and the stories it told. What we discovered was more than beauty, rocks and a mighty river that continues to carve the Canyon to this day.We saw the earth open up before our eyes and challenge us to understand our evolving planet. We are neither geologists, historians nor meteorologists. We are simply people who walk on planet Earth and who can witness her mysteries should we take the time. These discoveries were a true revelation to be able to see up close and personal how millions of years of changing climate patterns, earthquakes and volcanos along with a raging River to this day serve to carve and etch this beautiful Canyon.
