Based on real observations, collected by accredited university lecturers, Redha Lakehal and Jalaleddinne Omar Bouhidel offer us, in about sixty pages, an anthology of seven clinical cases of cardiac surgery with congenital cardiac malformations as a common background theme.Richly illustrated, this very didactic book is intended for a wide range of readers, both experienced cardiologists and those in training, who will realize the originality of situations that are very rarely encountered in a surgical context, a rarity that one would not have imagined for a family.
Cardiac localization of hydatid disease is rare (< 3%) even in endemic countries. It is a condition characterized by a long functional tolerance and a great clinical and paraclinical polymorphism. Cardiac hydatitosis is serious because of the risk of rupture requiring a semi-urgent surgery. The diagnosis of rupture is based on clinical and echocardiographic findings. The aim of this book is to report some interesting cases operated for cardiac hydatid cyst.
