A Rational Thoughtbook is designed for thinking as opposed to reading. It combines brief prescient content with stunning imagery. Existence focuses on the nature of existence and gives you intelligent thoughts to integrate into your life.
This book could be viewed as a companion work to my earlier book, "What Harvard and Princeton Don't Want You to Know" which is an examination into the flawed premises of philosophers such as David Hume and Immanuel Kant who are most influential on the ideas of modern society including John Dewey and the pragmatists who run society. My goal for both works is to examine the proposition that our society is falling into an abyss of ignorance, man-made divisions, and social conflicts because (primarily) of Hume and Kant. This descent is sending us into a cruel form of nihilism that will destroy our society. One of the premises of the philosophers we will examine is the fallacy that there are discreet boundaries of skin color that represent what we call racial divisions in society today. This discreet boundary is the division of black skin color over white skin color. According to this division, white people have historically discriminated against black people through hatred and cruelty. Despite the fact that black versus white boundaries are unscientific, they have been with us since the growth of modern racial theory. In fact, because of these divisions, our society is becoming more racist every day. This trend is being caused by a deliberate strategy that will not only destroy man's ability to reason but also turn people against themselves.
This booklet enables sport teams and concert promoters to submit their sponsorship proposals to companies that accept only online submission of proposals. It provides links to those sites that, in the kindle version, can be clicked from within the kindle book. For softcover buyers, a link is provided to a page that provides the links.
How Pragmatism Destroyed a World is a powerful book about how ideas influence the most tragic events of history. It holds that everyone in the world has the same disease - and we are all dying from it. This is because much of man's institutional knowledge descended from myths that ignored reality and existence. This so-called knowledge led to pragmatism and existential incompetence and this led to the brainwashing of the human mind. Since pragmatism is incapable of leading to understanding, and most of our leaders are educated in today's universities, they are, almost as a group, incapable of understanding reality and this makes them poor leaders. There is nothing we can do about incompetent leadership until we reject the myths and build knowledge upon an objective foundation. Yet, that requires a leader too and it is unlikely such a leader will show himself for some time, if ever. Until that happens, it will not be surprising that we hear leaders say something like this: "This not about theory or empty philosophy; this is about the reality of a pandemic." This kind of statement is always made by people who do not understand the importance of ideas and the role they play in human life. For some reason, they think that matters of emergencies (or human crises), require that we ignore the existence of the ideas that created the emergencies. With that approach, we will never solve the most monumental of emergencies.I submit that we need the right ideas during emergencies even more than we need them in our everyday living. If we ignore ideas, especially those that got us here, we ignore solutions and drift upon a stream of nonsense made up of vacuous trial and error. The end of this road can only be starvation and destruction. If we don't plant the right ideas in the mind, we won't plant the right foods in the earth.A reader writes: "Robert, I truly like your book on the destructiveness of pragmatism. It is such a great blend of historic reality and present distortion in thinking. I am curious about your thinking process that put it all together. This would even be a great study guide for upper high school and college students - demonstrating how historic truth can be put to use. Anyway, my congratulations on a rich work."
This book is a follow up to the book I wrote entitled "How Pragmatism Destroyed a World". In this earlier book, I proposed that the philosophy of pragmatism is the major problem causing confusion and doubt in our society. Everywhere we look, as we watch events, we see people intent on creating that confusion in order to "gaslight" people into accepting their rule. Various myths are being stoked and repeated to give people the impression there are "problems" that must be dealt with. The truth is that pragmatism is a gimmick and a deception.
Your boss just told you that he wants you to manage a hospitality event for your company's top clients. The event will be held in conjunction with a sporting event in a major league sport. Sounds like fun but you have no experience in pulling something like this off. How will you do it? You may not know how to start, what to do and how to ensure the event is a success. You wonder if you are being punished for something you said. After you pick your stomach up from the floor, you say, "Ok" and begin to leave his office. Then he says, "Here, use this." He has just handed you a copy of the "Hospitality Event Planning Handbook" and suddenly the world is a normal place again.
The professors at Harvard and Princeton don't want you to know about the worst ideas in history. This is because they have been pawning these ideas off as true and profound. They have been using them to deceive and manipulate us for centuries. Yet, ideas of such monumental import should be known to everyone so society could make informed decisions about the future. In fact, you might be surprised to learn that the most destructive ideas in history have been barely noticed for generations. In fact, most college professors foster them, promote them and work according to their principles. These ideas destroy society wholesale and globally. They are responsible, not only for genocide, wars and human devastation, but also for the losses suffered by people in their everyday lives. One reader writes: "I have just finished reading "What Harvard and Princeton Don't Want You to Know" and I think it is very succinct, pointed, and timely while philosophically sound and comprehensive. It is amazing how directly [the author] can get to key concepts about which academics pussy foot around."
