Serena Winter is the reporter for Explorer magazine, on a trip to the Caribbean looking out for drunken monkeys and anything else interesting for the magazine. On the plane journey, she meets dishevelled stranger, Broderick Loveday. When she samples the food, music and fun times the Caribbean has to offer, she wonders if she'll ever be able to leave. The Pirate ship on the horizon makes her wonder if she's in danger - but it's the danger of the stranger she met on the plane she's more concerned about.
