This life is a journey of awakening to humanity's true nature and yes, for me, it includes what seems to be the loss of not one but both of my beloved children. My son left his physical form via a tragic motorcycle accident on I-95 in the wee hours of a Palm Sunday morning. The date was 4/4/04 and my journey of awakening to our true nature arrived as we then communicated. His sister's graduation to life, on the other side of this veil we have become accustomed to living behind, spurred me further toward the Oneness consciousness of which we truly are. This book holds after-death communications that seemed to come from my beloved daughter, Wendy Olivia Wright, who took her own life on 12/4/15. She relates many messages concerning suicide and transitions, soul evolution, spiritual growth, the earth game, and global transformation. Allow these words to comfort, inform and inspire you!
In Practicing the Monastic Disciplines, authors Sam Hamstra Jr. and Samuel Cocar recover the wisdom of the Christian desert and make it more available and accessible to modern Christians, especially those in the evangelical circle they inhabit. Believing that moderns like themselves often flail in their Christian lives, the authors discover in the desert Christians of late antiquity a clear map for growing in Christlikeness, as well as an effective set of tools (or weapons) for combating temptation. This set of insights sees its completion in the spiritual theology of Evagrius Ponticus, a monastic theologian who expertly assessed the maladies and corresponding remedies of Christian discipleship. Evagrius and his comrades offer modern Christians a coherent framework for spiritual formation and growth, one which treats seriously both the frailties of human nature and the potential for sanctification. This strand of patristic spirituality guides us toward glorifying God through both training our bodies and ordering our interior lives.
One of the age-old questions that silently seep through the tiny, dark crevices of most people's mind is: What is my purpose? Many individuals believe their occupation is synonymous with their purpose--their life's mission. Most are satisfied with this belief until they wake up one day questioning their very existence and find themselves on long rides to nowhere as they try to determine why they were created. You'd be surprised to know how many people wonder why they even entered this world in the first place. Wondering is to put it mildly, but more like obsessing over it. Sometimes it is a dead-end job, no real, meaningful connections or relationships, and no knowledge of purpose that lead folks to believe they have no other reason to be on Earth other than to take up space. They feel that if they disappeared tomorrow, they would easily be replaced by another. It is unfortunate, but it is because they have yet to realize just how meaningful their life is! Sam Richardson was born and raised in Prichard, Alabama. At the age of 18, Richardson was called into ministry through a spiritual experience. God commanded Richardson to teach and preach his Word, proclaiming the Gospel to the lost and vulnerable. It was through his spiritual calling, birthed the confirmation not only to discover purpose but to live on purpose. For Richardson, the journey of purpose was about pursuing his passion, discovering who he was and what God called him to do. After years of highs and lows, tragedies and victories, Richardson decided to write the book Live on Purpose.
