The Villa Real is a Pullman sleeping car that was build in 1911. It was in regular passenger service until 1957 and entered Maintenance of Way service for another 38 years. In 1995 the car was acquired and began a 26 1/2 year journey to be restored to its appearance in the prime of passenger car travel. This book details that journey with photos and stories.
