This book is a compilation of baseball stories from the life of Coach Don Burns. It goes from the start of his baseball life in 1950 at St. George High School in Chicago, to the University of Illinois-Navy Pier, the Chicago White Sox minor league organization, before starting his baseball coaching career at Benton Harbor HS in Michigan, finally ending up at Glenbard West HS in Glen Ellyn Illinois, where he retired in 1989. Coach Burns was voted into the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1982.
