When Kimberly Madden lost her father at only five-years old she felt hopeless. As she grew up she became desperate for answers and hate had become a part of who she was. With her back against the wall, she faces the biggest test of her young life. Will she survive and grow during her journey? Or will she fall weak to a pain that is so unbearable?
Life as an inmate is never an easy challenge and Kimberly Madden has learned that all too well within her first year in prison. Crooked guards, fake friends, and envious inmates have opened her eyes to see prison life from another perspective. There are certain rules that must be followed while on the inside that can be a double headed sword if not followed correctly. It is often said that God will reveal things to you in mysterious ways, and Kimberly feels a lot of her unanswered questions are finally being answered. She hopes that one day her dedication to change, lying to rest old grudges and achieving greatness in her life will become someone's inspiration. She creates her platform and sets out to accomplish her dreams to show the world that a person's past does not define their future. But just like everything else that was good in her life was taken, trouble finds Kimberly once again. No matter how hard she tries to avoid drama, it always comes back around and forces her to decide how to react. The wrong choice could deter her release, so she learns to deal with senseless drama on a wiser level although torn apart mentally and spiritually. She must grow fast because freedom is near. Just as she enters the process of change she finds herself contemplating the same crime that landed her in prison. What will she decide this time? Will she follow her head and what she knows to be right or will she allow her instinct to make the choice for her?
