The number compounds have been prepared in order to improve the pharmacological pröles of antihyperglycemic activity. The series of 3-benzyl-2-(4'-substituted phenyl)-4(5H)-(4''-nitrophenyl amino)-1, 3-oxazolidines 6a-e were tested against hyperglycemic activity. Their antihyperglycemic activity was evaluated by Streptozotocin (STZ) and Sucrose-loaded (SLM) model. The results of studies indicate that the compounds 6a, b, c, d, e displayed signi¿cant reduction in blood glucose level in streptozotocin and sucrose loaded rat models. The purity of the synthesized compounds was characterized by means of IR, 1H-NMR, mass spectral and elemental analysis.
Naproxen is chemically, (2S)-2-(6-methoxy naphthalen-2-yl) propanoic acid. It is a propionic acid derivative related to the aryl acetic acid group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly used for the reduction of moderate to severe pain, fever, inflammation and stiffness. Esomeprazole is chemically, (S)-5-methoxy-2-[[(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl) methyl]-sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole. It is a gastric proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) used in treatment of gastric-acid related diseases. Simple, selective and accurate analytical techniques have been developed and validated for the analysis of Naproxen and Esomeprazole in combined dosage form. The objective of this review is to describe the various analytical methods for the estimation of Naproxen and Esomeprazole in combined dosage form. All methods are validated as per ICH guidelines.
