Baseball, soft- ball, and basketball.I was honorably discharged from the US Navy in September 1969.Fortunate to be hired right away South-Central Bell.Married Cathy Kimberlin on December 31,1969.That next spring I had the idea of coaching boys' baseball. Do not know why Inever had the desire for that at any time in my life.Decided to go to Pinson Valley Youth Association, where my brother and I playedfrom ages twelve through sixten, for me; my brother was two years younger. Previously played at Trussville from eight through eleven.I was aware most parks had sign-ups and drafts by the second Saturday in March.
