The second book in the series, A Woman Scorned, is the true story of Violetta Elrod's mother, Virginia, who demonstrated that same indomitable spirit needed to survive the hard times of the 1930s and 1940s. The first book, My Family Quilt, tells the true story of her grandparent's life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the early 1900s.
