"Blinking would bring a moment of darkness that I couldn't afford.""Darkness shadows those that are marked, but the light of a soul may be stronger than the depths of the Never."I was sent to collect what was rightfully mine and I owned her life until the claiming. Avery belonged to me as many of the marks before her. She fought harder than the others, stayed stronger through the fear and she made herself an easy target for both sides. What I didn't expect was the need to protect her.Her soul had been claimed by the devil, himself. My job was to collect it; reap it with her last breath. The other side shouldn't have interfered because they made this personal.Killing her was ALWAYS the plan.Finding her was NEVER an issue.Losing her was no longer an option.
Darkness welcomes me as I embrace the choices that I have made. With fire in my eyes and revenge having already condemned my soul, Salem has created a demon. Born from the ashes and convicted with no sin, I was forced to reign in the underworld while I waited for the right time to avenge my wrongful death. The cost was of no concern, until I met my match in a ghost, 300 years later. He had one job; collect the soul and release it to me. That's it.Timothy carried his own past into the dark side. With a conscience and a fondness for humans, I questioned his loyalty as I protected my secret. Being forced to collect a soul in a human form, I was already at a disadvantage and I didn't want to admit that I needed his help.Emotionally charged and the risk of humanity regaining its control over my tie to Hell, I was running out of time. The secrets that I buried were my weakness and Timothy was more than prepared to destroy me with anything that he could uncover. He had the ability, the strength and the time to do it. What he didn't have was the one thing that would fix everything he's been chasing... my blood.
***warning***This is for entertainment purposes only! This book is not to provide you with anything other than a realization that 99 pennies are going to be needed to make up for this purchase. You have been warned. Good news? it is on KDP so you don't have to feel like you made bad choices. You will, however, learn to say the word cock in 40 languages. YAY!This book contains adult content. It is not, at all, something that should be read by children - unless you are a bad parent and want your youngsters to learn about anatomy from someone like me. Good Luck with that! This book is a cocky take on the word cock. It is a word that is generally used to describe a part of a man's body. The part that has the ability to overthrow the king of the body (brain) and make bad decisions. It is also the perfect word to describe disgust towards someone. You can decide how to use it in your own day to day, but remember - THIS IS NOT AN ACCURATE EDUCATIONAL TOOL. There may be some inaccuracies... No, there are going to be inaccuracies.
***WARNING*** This book is intended for mature audiences. When I say mature, I mean those that are capable of deciphering the difference between sarcasm and offensive. This book is no different than the rest of the series. You will barely learn anything from the quality of his book. If you are lucky, you might actually laugh - proving that you are not the b*tch that inspired this book. *no real person exists and if you believe they do - read the copyright* B*TCH is a pretty universal word. It is used in its English translation more than any other 'BAD WORD' that I have written, yet. If you will learn anything from the 40+ translations in this book, DO NOT, under any circumstance, call a woman a B*TCH in Dutch. Apparently, if you value your face and hair you will take that advice! Also, do not expect to gain much educational value. It is intended to be sarcastic, humorous and a waste of 15 or-so minutes. ENJOY!!
STRONG LANGUAGE Not intended for underage viewers Adult supervision is advised! ***This book is a sarcastic educational and (probably) inaccurate reference guide ONLY!!*** It is not intended to provide you with any sort of value or brain power. Actually, I can almost guarantee you that it will do the exact opposite. If you spent the whole 99 pennies on this book, remember that I am not to blame. I didn't hit 'one-click' - YOU DID. Ok, carry on. We all know that person. The one that prances around like Adonis but has the personality of Satan? The person that no matter how many times you try to excuse yourself, they keep talking about themselves in the 3rd person cause their anus tightened up with their KLOOTZAK? (see Dutch translation) You know exactly the kind of person I am talking about. That person was my inspiration for this book, ASSH*LE. With nothing more than an urge to throat punch someone and a bank account that says, "You can't afford bail," I decided that I needed to know how to properly label an assh*le in public without major confrontation. Don't get me wrong, someone is going to know what you are saying. Use these translations at your own risk. I am not responsible. DO YOU HEAR ME... I am not responsible for the whooping that you may or may not receive when using these words. Keep in mind, the person in question probably already knows that they are an ASSH*LE. With that warning, I give you 40 new languages and a little sarcasm in regards to the word ASSH*LE.
Orrin was born for the mission ahead of him; his team has nothing to lose and a livable planet to gain. Built for the elements and prepared for the worst, Orrin is Earth's last chance for survival and he is determined to save humanity no matter the cost. As the daughter of the Vaklarn Elite, Aya was adorned with every amenity available but she craved a life of freedom and independence. Betrothed to the man of her father's choice, her chance at love was taken from her in the name of her ancestors until she comes face to face with the biggest threat her people have ever encountered; Orrin. When two worlds collide, more than a fight for a home is on the line. Both have an objection; both have something to lose; both bend the bind that threatens to break in the name of strength, power, life and love.
Again... This is an informational and probably inaccurate guide to using the word MOIST. Please - Don't rage - You want to laugh for all of 15 minutes, and you know it. The only reason this book exists, is to help you find 15 minutes of laughter in an otherwise depressing day. Think nothing more of this as entertainment ONLY! You have been warned - Don't rage! Have you heard the word MOIST and wanted to slap the smirk off of the person that was delivering the offensive descriptive statement? I have and I though to myself, "For all that's good and holy, say it in a different language so I have no idea what you are saying!" Fortunately for you, I have given you the translations to avoid being slapped. Unfortunately for me, they are going to have to use one of the other languages than the 40 that I have given you. There is only so much someone is meant to take when hearing this word. I have given you the insight to what a woman is really thinking when a man uses this word in the wrong context. You know what I mean. Enjoy!
"Every choice you make will have an effect on your future." If your life is mapped out for you, what happens when you unknowingly change your path? The holidays are a time to make memories, while Alexis tries to forget the prior year and the devastation that followed her last Christmas. One year later, Alexis is forced to make a choice, but every choice changes the future. With every decision, everything that Alexis has ever know comes crashing down in a whirlwind of romance, lust and the unknown. The small imbalance sends Alexis through realities that she may not be strong enough to survive, without Travis. When the past begins to repeat itself, Alexis does what she has never done before; she creates a Christmas effect.
"You don't have to say goodbye, but it's easier if you do." Being a vampire was supposed to be easy. Hunting, feeding and preying on the weak are the simple ways to survive in a world of chaos and evil. The hard part was something Drake had avoided for centuries, alone. Having a seer meant responsibility and protecting her. In a world where being selfish was acceptable, he was forced to protect a stranger. His stranger. Emma had hopes and dreams; ones that never included a head-on collision with a swerving semi. Her fears had controlled her life, never once breaking or allowing relief. Accepting her fate as a ghost, Emma thrived on fear and curiosity. Coming face to face with Drake was the one thing she could've lived hundreds of years without, but he had other plans; ones that were bigger than both of them and it was time to say goodbye to everything she wanted. Seeing for the undead was enlightening, being torn away from him was catastrophic. She made her deal with her Devil and nothing was getting in her way. Except one...
He needed her for strength. She needed him to survive. Every person believes they will go to heaven. You spend your life going to church, obeying the rules and doing the right thing in hopes that a higher power grants you access through the pearly gates. The other option is Hell, or so we thought. After her death, Ashley waited for the bright light that never came or the dark cloud that evaded her. What she didn't expect was Thaddeus. Her choice was made and the link was something they never expected. Being a ghost was hard enough, but being linked to a vampire that cannot keep himself out of trouble was proving to be more difficult than either of them expected. As Ashley's visions become increasingly more graphic, she is forced to watch herself do bad things to good people while Thaddeus is blind to her murderous spree. When the lines blur and he gets a peek in to her premonitions, Ashley is at risk of losing more than just her life. She could lose everything, including her vampire.
SH*T Is there a reason for you to need to know how to say "SH*T" in another language? Maybe, maybe not. Either way I can assure you that there is no better way to learn than through this book. Why? Well, I guess it doesn't really matter. If you ever need to know how to use this word in another language, you will be more than thankful for my sarcastic look at it and the 10 minutes of humor that you will receive by clicking "Buy Now." If you read this far, you have some interest in what hides behind this cover and I am strongly recommending that you don't RAGE over this book. I mean, there is in no way anything serious or romantic about a book titled, "SH*T" Good Luck, though.
Set in the socially stratified world of Mobile, Al. in the 1960's, Honeysuckle Drift tells the compelling story of a prominent family's unraveling. Robert Townsend, a brilliant attorney who wants to support his family in luxury, has begun to take drugs for the stamina needed to work late into the night. His hot-tempered wife, Elizabeth, suspects that his late nights are not always "work." Robert's breezy confidence so blinds him to his addiction that he doesn't realize that a stunt he pulls in court will land him in hot water with the judge. Nor does it occur to Elizabeth, who pleads with the judge's wife behind Robert's back for leniency that Robert will be so infuriated with her that he will come home blind drunk, pack a bag, and storm out. His departure confirms Elizabeth's suspicions, her temper overwhelms her and her actions--together with their teenage daughter's naive plan to save their marriage--lead to dire consequences. The deeply imagined interior lives of the characters portrayed with vivid realism and insight makes this debut novel a particularly engrossing read. The themes and universal issues it addresses presents much for reflection and book club discussions.
A WWI veteran with a young family, Ira bought a sixty-acre farm in the rural community of Harlan Michigan just ninety days before the October 1929 stock market crash and its ensuing financial crisis. He fashioned a living with a team of horses and a never-give-up work ethic on land his wife often called "sand banks" when a harvest failed. This memoir covers a thirty-year span of farming through the eyes of Ira's daughter who went from a bare-footed carefree girl to a "hired hand" when her older brother joined the Navy in 1942. She drove horses, hauled hay, picked up stones, bagged milkweed pods and a myriad of other tasks. For senior citizens it may bring back childhood memories. Young readers will perhaps experience a tinge of fantasy or a scene from TV's Walton family. An easy read about rural farm life in the thirties and forties
A garden is more than the sum of its parts-a garden can be anything one wants it to be. What's important is that it have a heart. Through ethereal illustrations, textile designer and artist Virginia Johnson takes the reader on her own garden journey, from blank slate to dreamscape. Over the years, she has transformed a small, narrow city lot into a garden that is personal, carefree, wild, and welcoming. It all began with a fence to allow her children to play freely but safely, and over the years has turned into a city-dweller's "secret garden." Hornbeams, with their elegant shape, are the heroes of her garden, and the overall palette reflects an artist's lens-peonies, hollyhocks, roses, and hydrangeas abound. Johnson explains her process with ease and clarity, bringing her ideas to life through words and illustrations so that readers can be encouraged and empowered to start their own garden journeys. The book is organized into clear chapters-Trees & Shrubs; Vines; Flowers; Seasons; Edibles; and more.
