There are several technological options to reduce GHG emissions: reduction of energy consumption, efficient use of energy (both in energy use and conversion), use of fuels with lower carbon content (such as natural gas versus coal), promotion of natural CO2 sinks (such as forests, soils or oceans), use of energy sources with low CO2 emission levels (such as renewable or nuclear energy) and CO2 Capture and Geological Storage (CCS). According to the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, CO2 Capture and Storage would contribute between 15 and 55% to the global cumulative mitigation effort until 2100, thus presenting itself as a transition technology that will contribute to mitigating climate change.

It is important to implement prevention and control measures to reduce noise exposure, as well as to promote awareness and education about the harmful effects of noise on health and the environment. Noise pollution is a problem that can be addressed with the collaboration of all sectors of society, in order to achieve a better quality of life and a healthier and more sustainable environment.The following chapters are presented in this work: Fundamentals of noise pollution, environmental noise pollution control and a study of environmental noise measurements made with a low-cost electronic device based on Arduino technology (developed by Engineer Edward Mauricio Sanchez Galvis), in 12 strategic points of the central commune of the municipality of Bucaramanga Colombia, which is based on the data of the Environmental Engineer Benjy Larios.

El presente trabajo trata sobre las pruebas de calidad ambiental realizado a ladrillos de construcción obtenido a partir de mezclas que incluyen un residuo minero.Específicamente este libro contiene las pruebas de calidad ambiental incluyendo la Prueba ABA lo cual permite dar viabilidad ambiental a los productos para uso en construcción de vivienda.Es importante conocer que un material o elemento al entrar en contacto con la intemperie, entra en contacto con oxígeno, partículas y demás sustancias presentes en el ambiente, las cuales generan cambios físicos y químicos, creando un posible riesgo en la salud humana y el ambiente que lo rodea. La importancia de realizar estas pruebas se basa en la calidad de la salud humana y la calidad ambiental, las muestras se realizan al ladrillo prototipo con el fin de corroborar que al exponerse a la intemperie no va a generar afectaciones al medio de carácter tóxico por contacto y oxidación.
