Die aktuelle Neubearbeitung geht praxisorientiert auf die Änderungen durch das am 1.1.2008 in Kraft getretene UnterhaltsrechtsänderungsG und die Entwicklungen zum Ehegattenunterhalt (§§ 1569-1586b) ein, u.a. auf den Betreuungsunterhalt vom Vater für die betreuende Mutter bzw. den Vorrang der Kinder vor geschiedenen Ehepartnern, die Streitfragen zur Befristung des Unterhaltsanspruchs des die Kinder betreuenden Elternteils auf drei Jahre und alle relevanten Neuerungen zum Unterhaltsrecht, das allerdings wie das Forum Unterhaltsrecht 2010 der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Familienrecht des DAV feststellt, "nachjustiert werden muss".
