This is the first full survey of the paintings, watercolors, graphic design and bookbindings of the polymathic French artist Alfred Latour (1888-1964), also known for his work in fashion, advertising and photography. Brightly colorful and adhering to simplicity of execution, these works radiate the optimism of early modernism in France.

This volume presents the obsidian sculptures of French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel (born 1964). Othoniel first discovered the volcanic glass in the early 1990s, and has returned to it in recent years, making huge, angular totems out of obsidian, wood and concrete.

Photographer Bertrand Stofleth (born 1978) journeyed down the Rhone river, from its Swiss glacial spring to its mouth in the Mediterranean Sea, setting out to methodically follow its course and chart its immediate surroundings. This book compiles the large-format images of the landscape in its sometimes domesticated, sometimes wild state.

Chronopoétique is the first retrospective on French multimedia artist Olivier Leroi (born 1962). Retracing his 30-year career, the volume includes his drawings, cut-outs, sculptures and large-scale installations along with illuminating essays by critics and curators Olivier Kaepplin, Gilles Tiberghien, Yves-Marie Paulet and Emmanuel Pierrat.

Full of sumptuous color photographs, this fascinating volume takes a broad overview of islands as geological and cultural entities, approaching them from every angle: as isolate ecologies, as mini-states, as outposts, as land with a special relationship to water and marine life, as victims of global warming and as "laboratories for evolution."

In 1999, François Delarozière (born 1963) founded the street theater company La Machine, which, through collaborations between artists, fabricators, designers and more, engineers giant performing machines. His preliminary sketches are collected in this volume, revealing his ingenious technical imagination.
