Studying this step-by-step journey of initiation has been a staple in Waldorf High Schools from the very beginning, and periodically it makes sense to remember why it was chosen and what it has to offer to the young person and our increasingly complex contemporary global society.

For many years, Erika von Baravalle worked on the documents about the building history of the first and second Goetheanum and opened up the artistic legacy of Albert von Baravalle, who worked closely with Rudolf Steiner as an architect. Additionally, she also carried out a large number of her own studies that had to do with the spiritual and artistic motifs of both buildings (and their precursors). To mark the centenary of the laying of the foundation stone of the Johannesbau, as the Goetheanum was initially called, she presented various of her essays in an anthology, rich with visual material-as well as eyewitness reports of the first laying of the foundation stone: studies by Fritz Götte, Elisabeth Vreede, Walter Bühler, and Ernst Bindel, as well as Rudolf Steiner's speeches leading up to and from the event of September 20, 1913, accounts which have never appeared or been available in such a compilation before.

Following the twelve chapters of the Games and Rianna narrative, we meet twelve people, progressively younger, one for each month of the year. The first eleven of these people have recently died. Games's interest in these people leads him to listen for their stories. He hears from each person a voice that seeks stronger connections - ultimately, a voice of courage and hope. And what Games learns in this foundational year also strengthens his relationship with Rianna. Conduit, however, does not end with the year. It remains to be seen whether what Games has learned will help with the rest of his life. Games cannot stop that people will die. Yet death, he knows, will never be the final word.

Loodles are creatures who live in a colorful land similar to our world. The Loodles are content until they develop a new gadget called a Wadget. Soon, all of the Loodles are using their Wadgets constantly and carrying them everywhere they go. Eventually, the Loodles realize that something is missing. Thinking they can find what's missing, the Loodles add feature after feature to their Wadgets. Still, something is missing--until the power goes out, and the Loodles discover what they were really missing.

It Will Be Ok is a reassuring and (semi-)humorous book for new and expecting mothers. This book encourages new moms to accept themselves and to embrace the imperfection that is an inevitable part of motherhood. It Will Be Ok is written from a child's perspective. The illustrations were sketched hurriedly by the author early one morning before her children woke up. The drawings are messy and imperfect, as is much of motherhood, so the author decided they should remain a part of the book. "It Will Be OK" should be every mom's mantra or battle cry (depending on the day.) 10% of profit will be given to organizations that support postpartum mood disorders.

24 is a collection of poems, sixteen of which reflect an exhibit of Garbisch''s photography that first premiered at Lightforms Gallery in Hudson, New York. The poems speak of the human being''s inherent connection with light and with the sacred movement of life itself. Furthermore, they ask: How much do I, whoever I am in the world, provide a door to love? Because love needs a door. It is not here, not yet on earth, not wholly, more as an anticipation. Love longs, however, to be here, inseparable from the world, alive in every word, work, and gesture, and it can only be born on the earth through us.
