A polished executive, Jack works, in the shadows, toward power and fortune. His efforts include a drive to defraud the heir to the GVN corporation. An influential consultant, Matthew Clement, and an associate, Rebecca Rosslynn, might be able to help Michael Anders, the heir to the GVN corporation, and Jack's other intended victims, the family, and the tribe. They, too, become a threat to Jack's maneuverings. The story moves forward, through the Botswanan bush, Vancouver, and South Africa. The character's efforts, faced with several twists, lead to a challenging conclusion.
