"We can only sense that in the deep and turbulent recesses of the sea are hidden mysteries far greater than any we have solved." --Rachel Carson. The deep silent sea, power and beauty, source of inspiration, the calm reflection of Spirit. Memory Lane: bon-fire, hotdogs, guitar. Toes in the sand, a salty kiss. The sandcastle, beach ball toss, surfing the wave, the sailboat race. Dolphin playing. Remember the seashell collection, the starfish. The big catch! Sunset, pink and mauve. Sunrise sparkling gold. Our sea, cherish and protect, our great treasure.
Hawthorne Hacked, Shakespeare Sacked & Thurber Thwacked is a cleverly-organized book that effectively satirizes some of the main works of Nathaniel Hawthorne, of William Shakespeare and of American humorist James Thurber, and the creative compilation is author Jay Dubya's 52nd published hardcover/paperback publication. In the Nathaniel Hawthorne section, Jay Dubya aggressively attacks the early 19th Century writer's famous short stories "The Great Stone Face," "The Minister's Black Veil," "Rappaccini's Daughter," "Feathertop," "The Three Golden Apples" and finally, "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment." In the William Shakespeare segment, the renowned English bard's classic plays "The Tempest," "Macbeth," "Hamlet" and "The Merchant of Venice" are rather hilariously clobbered and quite thoroughly corrupted. And finally, in the concluding James Thurber portion, the U.S. author's notorious short stories "The Catbird Seat," "A Couple of Hamburgers," "The Night the Bed Fell," "Tales with a Twist," "The Dog That Bit People" and "The Secret Life of Walter Witty" are imaginatively rewritten and given entirely new adult-style, bawdy spins.
Jesus said, "If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give it up for me, you will find it." (Matthew 10:39). In the Congo, the way that the men catch a monkey is a vivid picture of the "dying to live" principle. A jar is tied to a tree, with a nut strategically fixed at the bottom. The nut can be accessed only through a single, small hole in the jar designed to accommodate the monkey's outstretched fingers. Access to the nut is easy, but when the monkey clasps the nut, making a fist, his hand cannot be withdrawn and the monkey is trapped. In order to get his hand out of the jar, the monkey will have to loosen his fist and let go of the prize. If he would only let go, he could easily pull out his hand and be free. The refusal to give up the prized possession results in a deathly consequence. He gains a nut but loses his life. What prized possession is keeping you from living the abundant life?
In a small Pennsylvania town back in 1979 is where it all began for me. In this book I share many paranormal encounters that I've had throughout my life. As a child and into adulthood I had encounters with bigfoot type creatures, ghosts, Angels, demons, and other spiritual energies. As a teen I learned the hard way about spiritual parasites by messing with an Ouija board and other forms of divination without proper protection. Which in turn had forced me to learn how to spiritually protect myself and others. I had taken a path through the darkness and into the light. If you like a good ghost story, you are going to enjoy this book.

Unless you have millions of dollars or are a construction professional, real estate is a very expensive business to go into. While real estate is one of the most secure and safe businesses, it is still a very expensive one to get into. However, there is a better way to go if you really want to start a new business and make sure you will make it: 3D bedding sets. This is a business much less costly to get into, much easier to conduct, much more realistic, and still holds the potential for success and high profits. Moreover, in the pages of this book, you will learn that 3D bedding sets is a business that requires neither a college education nor experience; the business will come to you as you engage in; you will learn as you do; and, as you acquire increased experience, your success and profits will increase as well. The information and advice in this book is not a maybe; this is knowledge that will definitely, 100%, work for you. How successful you will be in the 3D bedding sets business will be up to you. You will be limited only by how much money you want to make. I am not exaggerating here, not even a bit. I am running a successful 3D bedding business myself -- and I know that by following the guidance offered in this book, you can, too.
As he begins his term as President of State University, Jason Spradlin understands the challenges facing him, such as the need for additional funding from the state, the demands for more classroom and laboratory space, the ever increasing enrollment of students, the social demands, and adapting to living in the President's mansion. But he is not prepared for the reappearance of two old enemies released from prison. Jason and his family become targets of the two as they set out to exact revenge. The smashing of his wife Kathryn's car is followed by attempts to kill Jason with rifle shots, one of which wounds Maria, their long time housekeeper. After prolonged investigations by law enforcement, the siege ends with the shooting of one by a policeman and the suicide of the other. Jason becomes involved with the start up of a new athletic conference, the expansion of the university's campus, and the prevention of sexual attacks on coeds. His long association with the older man he rescued from the national park and their annual camp outs near Christmas ends sadly when Robert Cleveland dies, leaving a huge estate to the university.

There are no walls built around her, no defenses. What you read is a glimpse into the heart and soul of a poet, the struggles, the successes and failures, the joys and sadness, the love and the frustration, the sorrows and hurt. What you read is her search for herself. What you read is pure feeling, open, honest, naked.
Almost Persuaded is author Nancy Hall's seventh book, a collection comprising twelve of her essays, commentaries, and short stories, a collection which vividly paints a picture of the world around her based upon her keen observations and her sometimes difficult life experiences. In her essay "The Hidden Dirt Uncovered," she takes to task political candidates for the way they try to sweet talk and exploit black people to get these people's votes; and she warns such candidates that "they are going to hell if they don't follow the laws in the Bible. There is no fire escape down there." In her short story "Pin Me Down," she introduces the reader to Mr. John and Mr. Hill, two conscientious, dedicated, and hard-working black men who undertake, and successfully accomplish, the extraordinarily difficult job of cleaning up an incredibly messy neighborhood, a job that neither the neighborhood's city nor anyone else has the gumption to do. This story illustrates that sometimes regular, decent people are the best at getting things done. In "Jesus Is Coming," she reveals that Jesus won't appear in New York City, attired in a three-piece suit and alligator shoes, and riding down the main streets in a shining car; no, He will, instead, appear walking down a run-down back street, wearing sneakers, jeans, a polo shirt, and a baseball cap. At the story's end she warns, "A true believer should stop acting like a make-believer. They should let their light shine, so others may see Jesus in them, rather than being broken lights. Jesus is coming whether that light is shining or busted." Nancy Hall has gained considerable hard-won wisdom and experience forged in the adversity, injustice, and discrimination she has faced in her life, invaluable wisdom and experience that no one not in such circumstances could ever acquire. And in this collection of her works, she conveys many such nuggets of this wisdom and experience that will serve as confirmation and validation for some, and an eye-opening education for others. This collection of Ms. Hall's works will give any reader, regardless of ethnicity and economic status, pause for serious thought and reflection -- and, in some cases, will cause outright anger.

FELDPOST LETTERS Volume 2 continues the tragic story of the German people, who were caught up in a war not of their own choosing. The majority of the population in 1939 was strongly opposed to war, especially those who remembered the suffering they endured in World War I. When war did come, they prayed that it would be a short one, and that their lives could quickly return to normal. It was not meant to be. This volume offers personal correspondence during the twilight years of the Third Reich: 1943-1945. The hope in these letters is now merely to survive the insane world in which innocent people lived and died. None of the fanatics are represented here. Only the truly innocent, and they are not afraid to pour their hearts out. Experience first-hand the hopes and dreams, fears and suffering, of ordinary people caught up in events far beyond their control. "If only this lousy war would end. The devil is loose. The world has gone mad."
"This book will expose the sex-change industry for the fraud that it is. They are hustlers in lab coats, peddling a product that doesn't exist. There is no such thing as a sex change, yet selling it is a billion-dollar industry. Those who believe that it's a matter of individual rights have been duped. If the public knew the whole truth about this industry, it would be eliminated overnight. This book explores the transgender phenomenon in depth, and determines it to be a massive fraud"--Provided by publisher.

Why higher education and grade point are important. Why taking the road less traveled makes all the difference.
"Nobody told me about the death of Willi." The people throughout Germany were starving. There seemed to be little hope. They had seen a time when a wheel-barrel filled with paper money might be enough to buy a mere loaf of bread. Who could believe it? The war to end all wars had created a nation filled with misery and hopelessness. Into this dire situation walked Adolf Hitler, and he began telling people there was a different way. They listened, and they wanted to believe. Then on September 3, 1939, the unthinkable happened. Britain and France declared war on Germany. For most of the German population, this was their worst nightmare come true. Family members and friends were dying once again in battle. They could only hope that the Fuehrer knew what he was doing, and that this war would end very quickly. In FELDPOST LETTERS Volume 1, experience first-hand the hopes and dreams, fears and suffering, of ordinary people caught up in events far beyond their control. As one so bravely stated in a letter home from the front, "I hate this war."
In his first collection, Curbside Assistance and the Benefit of Mistakes, Jacob William Watters set his poetry to the cadence of modern rock and rap musical influences. In his sophomore debut, An Eye of Another Color continues with those core influences of rhythm and beat, but seasons the work with the spice of maturity and refinement by reflection. His first work was heavily influenced by the natural surroundings of his adolescence, the Pan Handle of North Florida and the rural parts of Middle Georgia. In his second collection Dr. Watters borrows from those earlier years' experiences and progresses through his successes and failures of his busy medical career and private life.
