My book is about daughter/mother relationships, some happy ones, some sad ones. All empowering! Some daughters kept their traditions alive, while others made new ones! You may read some stories that you may relate to. All are meant to empower and inspire you in some way! Friends commented on my relationship with my mother and asked if we had always had a close relationship. Actually, it was not until after I married that Mom and I became closer. Mom made sure I knew she was not my friend, nor did she want to be! Mom was my mother and I was her daughter. After having shared this bit of information with my friends, they, in turn, shared their stories with me! My friends and women who contributed their stories and my mom, my muse, inspired my story, and book.

Parody Paradise, Part II is a compilation of thirty-one rewritten satirical short stories and plays from famous authors, featuring adult language and situations. Author Jay Dubya equally sideswipes (parity/parody) popular and classic stories authored by Edgar Allan Poe, Jack London, O. Henry, Mark Twain, and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Frank Barry is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Boston Harbor Campus. He has held teaching credentials in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and California. He credits his seminary education for being chosen as a linguist in the United States Air Force (Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Hebrew Languages). He has retired from teaching high school English and English as a Second Language and Workplace English instructor in companies throughout Southern California. He volunteers his time with the Kiwanis Clubs of Greater Anaheim and Greater Westminster and advises Key Clubs - the high school service organization of Kiwanis. He is current secretary of VVA Chapter 1024 in Orange, CA and part of the Huey helicopter crew that travels with the helicopter throughout Southern California raising funds for all veterans. He is secretary of the Westminster Community Foundation. He is advisor to the Vietnamese Heritage Museum. His previous four books (The Seeds Quartet) are all related the lessons he learned during four major acts of his life: The Seminary Seeds, The Military Seeds, The Education Seeds, and The Service Seeds.

This small volume, written by David B. Bowman, her companion of 62 years, is presented as a tribute to Maria Dianne Bowman. Surely, too, it is an expression of the love shared and a cry in the night that she is no longer alongside. Through the years family and friends came to know her through one or another window. She is familiar also with the writings of the Indian yogi, Yogananda, in California, whose body, similar to that of Saint Teresa of Avila, has been preserved fresh as ever. Bradford has been initiated into studies in Reiki: Shigun, about healing self and others.She has a group studying "The Seven Sacred Flames" through publications from Mt. Shasta, California, and receives email newsletters from John Perkins, an author who has studied mystical aspects of indigenous cultures in many countries. She full believes in Karma and Reincarnation and has had some Past Life Regressions.This author, as a protest writer over many decades, has written and has had published many Letters to the Editors, newspaper articles, also magazine articles about her strong defense of the Arabs in Many Middle East countries, especially focusing on the Gaza Strip. The Balondo Language Vocabulary Book was produced by Aja Oro to enable the Balondo-bakonja learn how to speak, read and write their own language because he realized that learning it would greatly keep intact by strengthening the psychological structures that literally unite them as members of the same community, especially as European colonial languages are constantly being used as the only official means of communication in most previously colonized African countries. Arguably, its perpetual enforcement does pose a formidable threat to traditional African languages, which if ignored might render them extinct. Based on that fact, the need to decrease the potency and continuity of this perceived danger to the Balondo Language and other African languages at risk of extinction is sustained throughout the book through the introduction of a sufficient set of vocabulary in the Balondo language for mastery by its beginners, who will be educated enough via this strong transmitter of culture that is their language to become more well versed in understanding their universe as a whole, while simultaneously taking charge of their discourse, which is at the core of their consciousness or self-definition that has continued to be at risk of being distorted by nefarious stereotypes perpetuated by less informed individuals.

This art historical novel places its fictional narrator in an accurate historic setting. Fifth century CE Jambudvipa, now India, marks the waning of the great Guptas and the apogee of the Vakatakas. Embedded in the socio-political climate are the cultural phenomena of India's religions and arts. Nandhini Devi is caught in the politics of three kingdoms: the Vakatakas, the Guptas, and the Asmakas. The turbulent political situation propels a major war with the innocent girl at its center. Introduction to Balondo Studies is authored by Aja Oro, a Balondo-bakonja scholar, to serve as an examination study guide for the Balondo Cultural Exam (BCE). It covers several topics on Balondo in a way that makes it easier for the prospective candidates to be able to read and form a basic understanding of the material studied so that they can adequately prepare to write and pass the exam after meeting the basic requirements of the course, its purpose, and scope. Aja Oro hopes that eventually this book's methodology of using theory and praxis in Balondo studies will realistically become the proper evaluative educational tool for measuring the overall success rate of the Balondo Cultural Heritage mission of promoting cultural literacy.
