Unlike most books on cosmetic surgery that do a broad brush of all options and procedures, "The Little Book of Lipo" is a true insider's guide to the most popular surgery in the country: liposuction, its pros, cons, and how to prepare, get the most out of it, and recover safely and fast. Not only does author Carol Martin give you the power to analyze whether to lipo or not to lipo, she offers a step-by-step consumer's guide on how to choose a top surgeon, from checking credentials to a list of questions to ask, how to prepare your house, friends, family, overcome any fears, the right diet and danger signs to look for while healing-everything you need to know but didn't know to ask. "You can trust what you learn from this book. There is no agenda here except to educate the consumer," says Dr. Vince Zubowicz, a top Atlanta plastic surgeon who wrote the forward. "You won't find this kind of unbiased information in the yellow pages or a website."

Ever since the overthrow of the Old Regime a thousand years ago, the Pirate Lords have reigned supreme over the world of Enoch. So tightly do they hold the reigns of power, none can challenge their collective will and might. None dare. Ye one man and one man alone has arisen to challenge their power. The mysterious Jakk Narros, self-proclaimed Pirate King and Free Man of the People has risen up in a series of raids to challenge their might. Somehow, despite Loidoreo's most powerful magicks and spies, Jakk Narros and his band have eluded all attempts at capture, defiantly raiding Loidoreo's tribute carvans both on the coasts and on land. Yet for all his defiance, Jakk has yet to be able to strike a decisive blow against his enemies and the Pirates Lords have been combining their power to draw the noose upon him once and for all. Yet a mysterious sorcerer wielding a staff of the Ancients appears now to him, claiming to be able to end the tyranny of the Pirate Lords once and for all if Jakk will throw in with him. This dissertation investigates the semantics of universal Free Choice (FC) items i.e., items like FC 'any' or Spanish 'cualquiera'. This study is relevant for the theory of quantification. One of the core questions of this research is: what is the range of quantificational constructions used in natural language? Investigating the behavior of FC items will be instrumental in answering this question. While FC items seem to express quantification, they do not behave like 'textbook' quantifiers: They have a restricted distribution, and they seem to have a special relationship with modality.

Our health care system is broken, and it cannot be fixed until we answer three fundamental questions. * Who should be included in the system? * What should the system to do for those people? * How much of it can we afford? The 'who' answer completely discredits the medical marketplace idea. The 'what' answer defines exactly what is most important. The 'how much' answer provides a morally and ethically sound way to keep the system healthy without bankrupting the country. The book details the failures of the current system, examines the fundamental issues that must be decided before the health care system can hope to recover, and looks at the 'Global Health Care Budget' to identify a viable mechanism to fund the system. It then outlines the specific steps necessary to control the cost of health care while at the same time improving it's quality.

The challenge of rapid urbanisation and its demands for infrastructure and services, which confront every local government in the developing world, is met by this book's analysis and conclusions. The text does so by highlighting some general principles to guide the institutional development (ID) process in relation to city management; these principles being designed to encourage both theorists and practitioners to discover solutions to city management in their parts of the developing world. The book concludes with a synthesis of city management and its ID imperatives; captured in measurable frameworks to test the extent of integration, the level of decentralisation and the chance of sustainability and self-development in city management. While the first part of the book is theoretical, its heart lies in efforts to convert theory into practice. Local government practitioners know that the hardest part is to achieve performance in infrastructure and service provision, for development.
In this book Dr. Tomislav Sunic describes the origins and dynamics of America's founding myths. Quoting and translating from many long-forgotten or suppressed sources from the fields of literature, history, anthropology and philosophy, the book represents an interdisciplinary compendium dealing with the topic of Americanism. The genealogy of early Calvinist Puritanism mixed with the techno-scientific religion of boundless economic progress and legally veiled in the obscure para-Biblical and Jewish-inspired sense of political self-chosenness, created a system that has little in common with its original design. Postmodern Americanism, with its abstract theories of multiculturalism and its global desire for world improvement, turned America into a menacing and self-destructive continent that puts not only the survival of America's European heritage at risk, but threatens the heritage of other peoples worldwide as well.
While humanity is facing the most crucial ecological challenges, it is being strangled by the economic conquest of a false monetary system and "Nothing" will save us.

Dasha, by D. F. Whipple, tells the story of a life derailed, but even down-and-out, living on humanity's edge, a man can find magic and even love. Through the use of dreams, contemporary narrative, and fantasy, Whipple's lyrical storytelling brings hope, inspiration, and a message that love's expectations are not of us, but for us, and that life reveals its magic in forms and in places we least expect. Grappling with the vicissitudes of modern art, the fickle publishing industry, tempestuous prima donnas, and caddy ex-girlfriends, Whipple's Dasha tells the endearing, hard-luck tale of a man destined to come full-circle back to himself; even if that circle has a few unexpected chinks. Told with wit, mystery, and in a narrative style sure to charm, Dasha teaches an inspirational lesson for modern times that leaves readers feeling good about love and its possibilities; despite the chinks.

The author brings to paper a new technique for developing a different style of writing. His novel examines the long and oftentimes tortuous journey through the depths of cancer treatment, from the pain of the disease to the many types of treatments available. Also, it offers a glimpse into a healthcare system in which the patient is often the sum of his insurance policy. As a result, their best practices and bedside manners frequently take a backseat to hospital politics and the financial bottom line. 'Visiting Hell's Gates: A Novel of Perseverance is nobly dedicated to all donors, ' stated New York Time Best Selling Author Ellen Tanner Marsh. And, went on to comment, 'For anyone who wishes to gain a better sense of what cancer patients experience when they receive their diagnosis and begin that long arduous journey down the road of living with and fighting cancer, this book is highly recommended.'
