It is my desire, through the writing of The Gospel We Preach, to bring an exposition of the different aspects and truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Preaching may take many different forms, whether from the church pulpit or in more relaxed environments in coffee bars or small groups. Water can come in various containers, but it is still water! The Gospel can be presented in various ways, but it must still be the Gospel that eventually leads to genuine repentance to life. It is a love story of God seeking to bring a lost world back into relationship with Himself. It is a plan that called for the greatest sacrifice the universe has ever seen. It is the Gospel of God's grace and love that offers every living soul the opportunity to step out of spiritual darkness and death into the abundant life of Christ. This book will take you on a journey through the great truths of salvation that every believer needs to understand. To become a disciple and fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, it is vitally important to understand who we are in Christ and how this new life He offers really transforms. The Gospel We Preach can be given to those who may not as yet come to faith in Christ, and it will be a great resource for all believers, whether new to the faith or have been serving God for many years. For those who aspire to become preachers and those who have perhaps been serving the Lord in ministry for many years, my prayer is that this book will inspire you to preach the Gospel with all its amazing love, passion, and power. Paul wrote at the end of a completed revelation. Where are the good people? "e;There is none that doeth good, no not one"e; (Romans 3:12). We are here to bring to light the existence of God because he does exist. God's purpose for creation and the rebellion that threw everything out of alignment, thus giving birth to evil and the issues of sin. Why atonement? Because the wages of sin is death. Every being is responsible for atoning. However, responsible people believe in Christ and accept His atonement.

Have you ever found yourself wondering if there was any more to this life? Have you ever questioned God's plan for you, your purpose, or destiny? Of course you have. When I asked those questions, the answer that I was given threw me for a loop. The answer was so unexpected and out of my comfort zone that I spent many years wondering if I had heard the correct answer. Our main purpose is to worship and glorify God. God inspired me to glorify Him in this manner. Inspirations is a book that started as a simple exercise in expressing thoughts, not necessarily meant to be shared, but as a vehicle to let new emotions and new ideals flow from my heart. When I began this journey, I was both new to poetry and a brand-new Christian. I had never had the desire to write nor had any idea how far the process of writing would take me. It was several years of expression through writing, and sharing with others, before I realized I had the beginnings of a book. Even then I had no concept of the height, depth, and width of this project, or how far God could take me in such an uncomfortable and untenable position. All forms of art are born out of some manner of inspiration. This collection of poetry has had its share of unusual types of inspiration, from cartoons and movies to other authors and people in my everyday life, even situations in which I found myself that would show the glory and majesty of our Lord. The subject matter of all these poems, while most are individually inspired, can be separated into two categories, either confession or revelation. There is truth within these pages, truth about my life and I would be willing to guess, at least some truth about your life as well. My prayer is that the words within these pages would first serve to glorify God and second serve to inspire you to do something, perhaps outside of your comfort zone, so that you will rely on God's strength and knowledge. Let us remain humble, by getting out of our own way, and letting Jesus shine through us.

What I've tried to do in this story is to write a balanced account of those 20 years of living with joy, interest, and some enlightenment for others. Also while showing how, in my own way, I sorted out and resolved some of those confusing and difficult conflicts eventually. I wrote this story on and off over quite a few years, whenever the mood moved me. While writing there were a few surprises revealed to me by my Aunt about the argument that she had with my Mother. Mother thought that she was leaving me with the Grandparents too often. Charlene gave insight as to why I made a certain decision at the time. My journey from the second that I invited Jesus Christ into my heart and life, made every difference in how I lived and made those decisions (wrong or right) as I walked along life's road. As author, my intent is to provide a proper format in approaching and understanding what is one of the greatest mysteries of all time, as stated in 1 Timothy 3:16:"e;And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory"e; (1 Tim. 3:16). If the reader can understand why there is a mystery or hidden truth, the mystery itself begins to be revealed. Who is the one true God?Multitudes today are still locked in darkness without this understanding. Are their divisions in the Godhead? Why can't the doctrine of the Trinity be brought into focus and clearly understood and taught by even the most knowledgeable of biblical scholars? The clarification concerning the doctrine of the Trinity is one of the greatest of modern religious dilemmas. This appears simply because, in Scripture, there is seemingly evidence of more than one person in the Godhead. Does not this confusion of the obvious appearance of three divine entities mentioned in New Testament Scripture need some kind of explanation, especially since it contradicts Old Testament theology clearly stating that there is but one supreme deity?Through the years of teaching this subject, my experience has been that honest people who are hungering for truth have accepted this teaching as absolute truth. Very few with an open heart to truth have not been absolutely astonished at these principles as they unfolded before them. But just as astonishing is the fact that, for most of them, nowhere have they been presented with these scriptural truths before. The desired purpose of this book is to bring into focus a clear view of the deity of Christ and to give the student a launching pad for his or her own research into this most intriguing portion of scripture summarized in 1 Timothy 3:16.

Without His help and constant love, I would not have been able to endure some of the trials that were put in my path. God waits silently for us to reach out to Him. He will not force His way into our life or alter our free will. He leaves the choice up to each of us. When you allow God to guide and strengthen you, you will win. We are all blessed even in the middle of our hardships. The secret is not to let those times keep you from the love God offers and the gifts God has in store for you. I chose God and a new life. I pray you will also choose Him and your new life. I assure you it is not the end, not the end of my story or your story. Never stop looking for the rainbow in every storm. It's there, it's real.
