My grandparents had come to America from hard times of starvation and despair. Because of widespread poverty, thousands of Italians and Sicilians were emigrating from their homeland in the early 1900s. Certainly, things must have been dark in Sicily in 1910 when my grandfather was only seventeen. How did he determine at such a young age that he had to make it to America "on the boat" and alone? That is just one of the questions I wanted answered. Even with a sense of regret that there would be no answers to find, I viewed the opportunity to go to Italy and walk on Italian soil with Dad a closure, of sorts, to the mystery of my heritage that I was sure I would never solve. With these thoughts, Judy Giudice Tull begins an adventure into her past. Like many modern-day genealogy seekers, she is willing to investigate any resource she can uncover. She is a never-say-die, sensitive person whose love for family is a constant driving force. She writes beautifully about family love throughout her search for something, anything to uncover her family history from the old country. The reader will enjoy visiting famous sites and tasting new cuisines as detective work ensues. You will participate firsthand in suspense of her characters' hopes, surprises, disappointments, and rewards as she takes you on an unexpected journey of love--an adventure story that happens only in the movies!--Father Ilario Dichiera, Catholic priest*****Closing the Circle: a Journey of Love is an over-the-top, happy story shouting to be heard. It is the response to numerous folks from many walks of life who heard of the happenings and implored the author, "You have to write a book!" A truly beautiful story.--Dewey Johnson, author of The Lord's Prayer: Hope for the Neighborhood.

This book is the result of two friends sharing with each other the sayings our mothers and mother figures had used to encourage, discourage, comfort, and guide us. Although we were reared in two different states, Florida and Michigan, we found that the sayings were the same or similar. We discovered we could search the scriptures and find a biblical meaning for the advice that Momma gave. Although our moms might not have been aware of it, they were instilling biblical principles in us by using these sayings. After many shared sayings and much laughter, the Lord blessed Carolyn with an idea, and she graciously shared it with Sharon. We pray that each reader has had someone in their life who has shared one of these sayings with them, and if not, we hope you can enjoy them as you read them for the first time. We hope you enjoy them and reflect on them and that they leave an imprint on your heart. It is our hope you will start a dialogue with your family. Ultimately it is our desire that this book will cause you to search the scriptures for yourself. And if nothing else, now you have a better understanding of what "Momma Said."Enjoy!

God inspired her to share her life story leading up to the traumatic sudden loss of her sweet, loving husband to the moment God poured an abundance of grace all over her.

Although different, he has support from his family. He finds there is more to his chosen career than he realizes. He also finds there are choices to make, some easy and some difficult. The book conveys how we should support our children and the career choices they make. Praise God I was born and raised in a place and time which my extended family had little. There was never enough food, and clothing was sparse. I grew up without a father, though notwithstanding, having many females in the family, there were always men around. In this continual scenario, I was able to see what sin really is and how it takes advantage of the deceived, eventually taking their lives.I completed an online seminary course and improved my knowledge of God's Word. I held church services in my home weekly, for over ten years. I have led many people to Christ and counseled them concerning how the deceiver was trying to rob them. I pray that God remembers that I shared the love he shares with me.
Not long ago on Christmas Eve, a little mutt dog dreams of going back in time to Bethlehem to watch over the baby Jesus. In the process, she realizes something very important about gift giving. Buffy in Church with her Family
In 1994, the US government sent three volunteers on a secret mission to unearth the truth.FBI Senior Field Operative Michael Buliva--A man willing to risk his life to please a father figure within the Bureau: Buliva longed to reach out to this "father figure" who knew his heart, his pain, and the struggles he endured. But at the same time, the agent was sickened with the thought that this was just another ploy to use him one last time.Professor Mark Sterner--A young scientist with such a volatile discovery, he is required to be under twenty-four-hour surveillance, not for his protection but the country's: "As your bodyguard, I need full access into your life. From now on, where you go, I go. You enter your room only after I have surveyed it, is that understood?""Isn't this a bit, awkward? Is it normal to have a woman guarding a man?"Without blinking, she countered, "Everyone believed it would make you feel more comfortable." She lied with her hand still held out for the key."No, my room is out of bounds for you, period.""I will take it from you if I have to, period."Mark gulped. With her hand still outstretched, her blazer opened just enough for him to notice a shoulder strap, which most likely led to a handgun. He was shocked. His mind quickly tried to come up with other options, but none came to him. He handed her the key.CEO of Ameri Bank, Stephen Levi--With a photographic memory needed for the mission, this volunteer was so desirable he had to be coerced. As Robert walked by Levi, who remained seated, the CEO took hold of his wrist as he stated, "Why do I still feel like a little pawn in a big game of chess?""A willing pawn, Mr. Levi, I might add!" Robert quickly responded."Only if you don't take blackmail into consideration," Stephen fired back.A story of faith, hope and love, blooming above the lies.
Man was God's greatest masterpiece! He was created and endowed by God to take charge of the world that God created.Though man lost his original place, Christ's death and resurrection were God's joker to put an end to the dominion of Satan and restore man back to his original place. Then the Holy Spirit came! The invasion of the Holy Spirit into this terrestrial world was the last straw that broke the camel's back because He helps every believer live the life Jesus gave at new birth. In whom ye trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: In whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13)This book, Too Blessed To Be Stranded, is a commentary on God's abilities in man and how Christ's entrance into the world opened mankind up to heavenly possibilities. As you read this little book, may God inspire you into the realm of possibilities in Jesus's precious name. Amen.
In the middle of the most pitiful hell I have ever known, God broke the chains of sin and set me free while sitting in Arizona State Prison for a terrible crime. Jesus made a way for me. I was without hope, recently divorced, and facing eight years in prison when I was set free from a lifetime of pain. I was broken, thirsty, and lost; and this is where I was blessed with salvation in a New International Version (NIV) Bible with plenty of time to read. I was blessed to learn about the new life that I had heard so many "Jesus freaks" talk about. This is the very real testimony of the Lord's power to change a heart from evil to righteousness, from damnation to salvation, and from hopelessness to infinite hope.My testimony is of our God's awesome power to save. He is reaching into the darkest prisons and the bleakest of places with a message of forgiveness and love. No one has walked in my shoes, but the Lord has numbered my steps for his glory. If being saved from hell is too hard for you to believe, then maybe this book will change your mind. I once was sure I would certainly die and go to hell, until God showed me his Son, Jesus Christ!I sing a constant song of gratitude from the heart, and now I am a "Jesus Freak" born again, child of God too! Many blessings to you.
Have you ever taken delight in the small comfort of a cup of coffee? The smooth smell, the steam rolling off the top, the warmth spreading through your fingers and palms as they wrap around the mug. But when the coffee is gone and there is a small stain left at the bottom of the mug, Jesus stays. This collection of poems is a reflection of stories from a woman in her twenties and the way Jesus has been faithful through it all: a global pandemic, graduate school, comparison, deaths of loved ones, and relationships. These poems are meant to be conversational in prayer, contemplated with community, and utilized as a tool for reflection in scripture when you don't know where to begin. So grab a cup of coffee (or tea if you so prefer) and take delight in the constant presence of Jesus.

Sponsorship organisations sincerely set out to help orphans in Africa and other developing countries out of their misery and hopelessness by providing them with a family environment in which they can experience love and hope. To accomplish this, a sponsorship organisation often works with a like-minded partner organisation that executes its vision and objectives. Unfortunately, this is usually plagued by many complex problems that, if not resolved, can become insurmountable. In this book, the author draws on his many years of experience in working for orphans in Africa to identify difficulties that seem to be inherent in such an endeavour. He has determined that these problems stem from three specific areas: the orphans themselves, the partner organisation, and the sponsor organisation. Each of these has its own unique challenges; and when these unique challenges interact, they become so complicated that, if their root causes are not isolated and resolved, the ministry may eventually collapse. The telltale signs of such an eventuality are perceptible--but only to the discerning mind. Musa Okolo identifies and offers practical solutions to these challenges, which will enable orphan care ministries to understand and deal with the complex issues involved and hence achieve their objectives and fulfil their vision.

Human history has had many mysterious episodes for which there is no easy explanation. Why did the magi decide to take a long and dangerous journey, all the way from Persia to Jerusalem, to bring gifts to a supposed future king? What about the Chi-Rho sign in the sky that encouraged Constantine's soldiers to fight the army of Maxentius and win a great victory in the Battle of the Milvian Bridge, which led to the recognition of Christianity in the Roman Empire? Why did Atilla give up on his march to Rome at a time when he had military supremacy in Italy? Why did the Mongols, poised to conquer the whole of Europe, suddenly stop and go back home? Why did the last Byzantine emperor, Constantine XI, decide to stay and die in the city when the fall of Constantinople was imminent?God's hand appears in all these episodes. He is sending His angels, who take on human appearance and make the light and barely noticeable push that changes the direction of history. In dealing with humans, they do not use supernatural powers, only their wisdom and skills. God's grandiose plans for humanity, beyond their immediate comprehension, are gradually revealed to them. They act as God's ministering spirits, in constant contemplation of God's wonderful creation and His love for mankind. While interesting and engaging, the stories in this book follow a common thread and convey deep truths about God and men.
In a day unlike any other, a multitude of refugees manages to ford the Great Western River to convince their kin to join them in the war against the First House, a dangerous new dogma that originated from a mysterious coup. After the discussion splinters into fierce arguing, all expectations are dashed. Suddenly, another cadre of refugees arrives carrying an elderly man on a stretcher. In his withered hands is a book depicting a horrific tale that just may alter the course of the war. The text, known as The Eyes that Weep, recounts the grave misfortunes of Delving Eye, a high-ranking detective of the First House.Prior to the dismal events described in the narrative, Delving Eye and his companions were well-known throughout the First House as loyal, intelligent examples of their order. At the start of the new year, however, he and his cohort are forced into an emergency assignment that takes them beyond the borders of their great capitol, Kinsman Height. Dispatched to a village close to an enemy border, Delving Eye and his crew must discover why two of their military units have mysteriously vanished. The mission slowly spirals out of control, and Delving Eye's life is forever changed.
Very Good is the direct result of an encounter I had with the Holy Spirit, where he directed me to find everything I believed about God's nature, design, and purpose for humanity in Scripture. The six years I spent studying the Word radically changed my life.During this time I discoveredGod's very good original plan for man;the effects that Satan's deception has had on mankind as man was separated from the nature and purpose of God, causing them to live as slaves to sin, Satan, and death;how the finished work of Christ restored God's original plan for man, restoring us back into the image and likeness of God so that we can live the abundant life he designed for us and fulfill our divine purpose of revealing God's glory on the earth; andhow God intended for us to use our faith to believe and receive every redemptive promise that was already provided for by God's grace.Second Corinthians 1:20 (NLT) says, "For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding 'Yes!' And through Christ, our 'Amen (which means 'Yes') ascends to God for his glory."

Life's journey carries one in many directions and through different paths and roads. One does not know what situations one may encounter. But what one does know is God can be trusted to help navigate one through. Situations will come, and that is a fact because Jesus said so. And whatever Jesus said will be so because he is not a liar. It is a comfort to know that when situations come, Jesus will be there to see us through.Situations are not always easy to face, especially when there is a time of waiting. As humans, we often want instant gratification. But that is not how God works. He works through his time and not ours. Trusting him with our situations teaches us how to wait. Waiting requires other things with it, such as faith, hope, and trust. These are the antidote to help us not to become anxious, fearful, discouraged, and worried. These are the things that will consume and prevent us from trusting him when situations come. There are stories in the Bible from the Old and New Testaments that illustrate various situations God's people face. Through these stories, we learn about the struggles and hardships many experienced during their situations. We also gain insight into how his people, such as Joseph, Moses, David, Ruth, Ester, Job, Paul, Silas, and others trusted in God in their situations. They believed that God was able to meet the need of the situation, so they were able to trust in him. And guess what, they were not disappointed. And neither will you if you trust him in all of your life's situations.

A dream come true. Only one person knew the entire story in the twenty-one years it took me to complete this dream project--that being my daughter Natalie who processed it for me on her computer. My ADHD complex played a major role in my taking all those years of contemplation to write my story. Now that it is finished and publicized, I only hope that my children and all family members, as well as my in-laws and friends, have an appreciation for what my Lord and my God has done in my life for his glory and honor. Lastly, I still struggle with ADHD, but I have a much better understanding of myself and try to keep those complexes in check. Also, God's telephone number is still Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know nothing about"
