This book is based on a true story about an infant who grew up without any parents (no mother or father); struggled throughout life; endured hardships, ups and downs, highs and lows; dealt with racism, discrimination, mental, verbal, and psychological abuse; functioned independently; graduated from college with a professional degree without owing a cent for financial aid; built a house from the ground up without owing a single cent; bought timeshare property; gave birth to two amazing children who both attended college. That orphan, that person, happens to be no other than myself! I did it because of persistence, perseverance, resilience, and a strong will to survive.
The reason I wrote this book is because I know God loves us, and no matter what turmoil we face in life, his love will always save us. All we have to do is have faith. I know that the devil wants us to stray from the essence of the Creator. I wrote this so people will know the difference between God's purpose for our salvation and the devil's wicked plot against us. God is a loving God, and he will never leave or forsake us. We need to get a better understanding of God's grace instead of falling victim to our own selfish ways. God bless!
A Child's Journey from Foster Care to AdoptionMy life tells the parable of a child who finds the ultimate adoption through being fostered. At the tender age of five, I was taken from the custody of my natural parents and turned over as a ward of the state. After years of searching for my identity, I was able to find it through my beautiful foster mother Jimmie. She showed me the way to an adoption that supersedes natural logic. Many that travel the road of foster care are lost and suffer from identity crisis. Unfortunately, some give up in their youth and commit suicide. Some remain lost and follow the same path as their biological parents. Others struggle until they come to a place of reckoning and die to their old life and morph into a beautiful butterfly. This is the journey to freedom I took in foster care. Unbeknownst to me, I traveled the same path as my biological mother. I came to the same fork in the road as she and had to decide whether to let the old man die or keep him alive. The decision was not easy, but it was doable. There were so many distractions and enticing worldly privileges that had to be denounced. My biological mother ran from her opportunity of new roots, but I decided to stick to mine. My new roots provided lessons and instructions that helped me become the improved woman and mother I am today. I have been adopted into a family larger than life itself, and I would have it no other way!
The Bible Is Applicable! is a Bible study designed to help grandchildren, those young in Christ, or anyone become more comfortable and less intimidated in using it and understand that it is the life instruction manual given to us by God. Everything we need to know for successful living, relationships, and family is in it. Where the Old Testament gives our history and prophecies to be fulfilled hundreds of years later and demonstrates the importance of obeying God and His continued faithfulness, the New Testament conveys the life and times of Jesus and His instruction for living today. What is so wonderful is that the God of the Old Testament is the same God we have today. It is hoped that by taking this journey, one will gain some familiarity with the Bible, increase knowledge about the characteristics of our God, and develop a passion for Him and His Word.
Covenant with God-a Biblical and Historical View at Healing Our Nation is a labor of love truly focused on returning to God as a nation and examining how our country, which was founded on God's principles and Judeo-Christian values, has gotten off track so significantly and what we need to do as a nation to get back to where God is first in every aspect of our society. Then the covenant our Founding Fathers made with God will be restored, and we can once again enjoy the full blessings of favor, peace, and protection from our God-for our nation.

Warning! Warning! Warning!Major changes are imminent at the door. This is not a drill. Don't poke your head in the sand.Urgent preparation is required for the soon-coming tribulation transition. Souls who are lost should trust the Lord Jesus Christ, and Christians should draw closer to God.During this time of trouble, the human life span will increase, but this will be offset by cataclysmic disasters and torment. War, multiple massive earthquakes and huge volcano explosions, poisoning of vast water supplies, darkness, drought, and oppressive heat shall be overwhelming.God's wrath produces a substantive reconstruction of earth but causes the level of comfort to progressively deteriorate throughout these unknown number of years.Amid the death and destruction on earth, many grand and marvelous events transpire in heaven. When this transition period ends, it ushers in a veritable utopia on earth for about one thousand years. Also presented is the concept every church leader needs to know: Stewards continue on earth several years after the Church is completed and taken to heaven.Pastors, deacons, teachers, song leaders may be left behind, not because they are lost souls but to witness for the Savior through much of the tribulation period. And Stewards are not taken out with the Church because their group has not run its course. The finale of their forming will be about six and a half years after the beginning of the tribulation.Herein is a step-by-step survey of events described in the book of Revelation, given in sequential order, and with possible times linked to many happenings.Knowledge of the time frame of events given in this book are imperative for navigating the treacherous terrain of the tribulation transition on route to glorious transformation and avoiding judgment.Kingdoms of heaven are at hand!Repent!

Some events in our lives can leave us feeling shattered, lost, doubtful, and scared. When going through these times in our lives, we can wonder how God can use them for His glory. How can God use abuse or the loss of a child? How can He use addiction or any of the other mistakes that haunt our past? When we look at the Bible, we don't see perfect people. We see people who struggled, who suffered, and who were lost. God used them in spite of that. There are countless powerful stories in the Bible where things seem to be irreparable, but God showed how amazing He is. God showed how powerful He is in the Bible and can do the same in your life. You have to be willing to allow Him access to the sometimes-painful areas. The areas we want to hide from Him are where God tends to do His best work. What was once something we were ashamed of, God can turn it around to impact people lost in the same situation. There is always hope regardless of the situation whether unexpected or a consequence of our actions or inaction.God can take something seen as broken and turn it into something beautiful that glorifies Him. We have to be willing to allow Him the ability and trust in Him to do so. Are you ready to see what God can do with the shattered pieces of your life?
When speaking of the spirit world, people in general tend to think of the deceased for whatever reason when speaking of spirits. Whenever the spirit world is mentioned, it hasn't anything to do with the deceased nor deceased loved ones.Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 9:5, "As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all!"Also 1 Corinthians 5:3 says, "Absent in body, but present in spirit with the Lord!"Then who are pretending to be spirits of the dead, masquerading as spirits of the deceased or deceased loved ones? Wicked spirits or demons? They are the angelic sons of God who joined Satan in rebellion against God.Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels or angelic sons of God fought against the dragon who fought back with his one-third of angels or angelic sons of God but was defeated and cast out of heaven, down to earth, never allowed to stay in heaven any longer. They are now on the earth, coexisting with us as spirit persons or demons.Demons are invisible wicked spirit persons sometimes called fallen angels, having superhuman power. The first to make himself one was Satan, the devil, who became the ruler of other angelic sons of God, who also made themselves demons.Though restrained from materializing, they still have great power and influence over the minds and lives of mankind, even having the ability to enter and possess humans and animals as well as to use inanimate things such as houses. These invisible, wicked spirit persons, known as demons, have the ability to enter humans and possess their bodies to dwell in as their own, and control individuals to perform their will and purposes, which is to harm, steal, kill, or destroy. Neither age nor gender are exceptions.World, demons are the culprits, pretending and masquerading to be spirits of the deceased or loved ones, to spread the sickness and advance the idea that the dead are still living on the earth!
For Zion's sake I will not keep silent; for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. (Isaiah 62:1)On the day that I cried out, you answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul. (Psalm 138:3)Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is the answer. This is How I Survived Death (From Death to Freedom). This book is my living testimony of what a gracious God we serve and how he kept me and saved me from the taskmaster I served my entire life. I have gone through life as I call it riding the fence, but it doesn't work that way. You either have to be 100 percent all-in for Jesus or the devil. You cannot serve both. You either want to live life more abundantly or fall away to death with Satan. You are meant to live not die.I never truly know how much God loved me and what true grace was until I was totally set free and delivered from death, drugs, abusing myself, anger, pride, the root of bitterness, and lust. God came and gave me total repentance, forgiveness, deliverance from darkness, freedom from every chain of bondage the taskmaster Satan, and brought me into his kingdom. I have been set free. I found my mercy at the altar of Jesus's feet as I cried out to him. He had no hesitation. He cleaned me up as white as snow, setting me back on solid ground and showing me and loving me to feel the agape love I have never felt before. That's the kind of love you need to fill every void in your life and in my life--the best and most amazing feeling ever.I'm here to tell someone Jesus is the answer to every issue of life. He is the comforter, the deliverer, the waymaker. He is the salvation, healer, and protector. He is the way, the truth, and the life. And whoever the Son sets free is free indeed. Because you are my salvation I don't have to be afraid. I can call upon you, and you will save me.You have brought me out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke my chains of bondage. (Psalm 107:13)You have delivered me from darkness and brought me into your kingdom and your love. (Colossians 1:13)Total repentance plus total deliverance equals total freedom from the taskmaster. Freedom to live for my sweet king, Jesus, and all the praise and glory goes to God the Father for setting me free.

This work is an autobiographical synopsis of an immigrant whose diasporic decision came crucially at a time of tribulation and despair amidst the civil war in El Salvador. In the special chapter, you will find the compelling story of a shoeless child who lived in one of the country's most depressed, conflicting areas.Chapters 1 to 4 give you an account of the discovery of America. The ensuing genocidal obliteration of the Mesoamerican civilizations and indigenous cultures at the hands of the Spanish colonizers.Chapters 5 to 13 show a brief narrative of the evolution of El Salvador from a peaceful autochthonous Maya enclave to a fully independent nation.Chapters 14 to 16 present with mesmerizing accuracy a series of events that probably helped shape my appreciation of life. Instill in me greater consciousness of my mortality and, therefore, my future in the USA. All these traumatic events, no doubt, have given me a new sense of purpose in life.Chapters 17 to 22, I exposed different perceptions and analyses of life before and after in El Salvador and the United States.Chapter 23 vividly describes the events leading to my becoming a US citizen.Chapter 24 focused on the contradictory reverse cultural shock when I traveled to my native land. Finally, in chapter 25, I formulate my honest feelings of love and patriotism toward America, its institutions, its Constitution, its Flag, and my faith in its promising democratic, republican future.
This book began as a writer's journal dictating her story in real time that would become a guide to encourage both the widow and widower suffering loss. The author takes us on her journey of suffering and pain at the unexpected death of her husband. It reflects on the betrayal of life and the ability to trust her God while being still through it all. He shows up for her restoring the hope she thought was gone. He gives her the ability to prevail in victory when she thought she would lose it all. Hearing His still voice of instruction to wait on His timing and process introduced her to a whole different type of love from her champion through His mercy, wisdom, and grace. Papa God teaches her the true art of forgiveness that brings deliverance and healing back to her life. She overcame and didn't die as her mind told her she would. The author's references to God and the various roles--He and the Creator of all and the universe--that has taken in her life since the beginning of time is transparent in her writing as she takes you on her journey of faith, healing, gratitude, grief, loss, and surrender. Don't give up, my brother, my sister. Let God have the battles the enemy tells you that you can't win.
Every house of worship in America faces a growing constant threat of violent attacks from terrorists, social fanatics, violent anti-religions, the mentally ill, drug-ravaged, and others who crave the social media and news fame of a mass killer. In the last twenty years, there was an average of two deadly force incidents (DFI) at houses of worship in America each week.No state, county, city, or house of worship of any religion is exempt from these threats. Violence, unrest, and criminal attacks are increasing nationwide with no penalty, accountability, or restrictions. Violent criminals are released into society with no controls. Churches of all denominations are seen as soft targets, and they must address these threats and take actions to protect those who come to worship.Retired FBI Superintendent Ed Mireles says, "This book is a highly recommended, must read, for all Church Security Personnel." This book gives the reader an extremely valuable program of strategies and tactics that can be immediately applied to provide protections against these violent threats, to limit the number of threats that occur and minimize the effects of those that happen. With years of direct experience and multiple sessions of very high-quality training, the author faces these threats head-on and then moves directly to provide counter methods.Hard-hitting, direct, and fast-paced, The Swords of Nehemiah is the essential How to playbook for church protection strategies that have proven successful and can be immediately implemented and consistently improved and enhanced. Retired Professor of Criminal Justice Dr. Jeffrey P. Rush says it best, "This is the book every church, every security team needs. Read it, learn it, live it."

Trust the Process can help you navigate some of life's challenges. The dream God has placed in you is too big; the vision just seems to be so far out of reach because of your current situation. Trust the Process will shine some light in these uncertain and trying times.
The second volume is giving answer's that many were afraid to ask. Since every Believer is an heir of Salvation; we have a right to inquire, says Ray Anderson. The Lord spoke unto Jeremiah and said, "... I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding" (Jeremiah 3:15).A believer wants to know: Who is the Eternal Being - Where does God the Father live - Jesus admits, There is someone greater than He. Who was she that help make the world. Adam and Eve had no biological mother but she was there. How can you learn and know your destiny - You can know the plan of God - Why was the maker of the world rejected. A believer is told where the hidden treasures of God is hid.The good the bad and the ugly - There is something that can change people - Is it mandatory to believe in the Resurrection. Will you see your loved one's in Heaven. Who is the bride of Christ. Is Jesus' bride alive now.
In life, you will have good days and bad days. You will experience seasons that seem to worsen while you are still recovering from a bad situation. You will go through trials and tribulations that you were not equipped to fight. You will face seasons that only you and God are standing in. Seasons that you will feel that your prayers did not make it to God's ears because he stood silent in it. During those seasons, continue to pray without ceasing, continue to lean not on your own understanding and trust in God with all your heart. Be steadfast and unmovable, be strong and courageous knowing that your labor is not in vain. Most of all, remember that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. I encourage you do not focus on the size of your storm or what's going on in your storm, continue to trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who is with you during your storm. In the midnight hour, the tides will turn, your winds will calm, your storm will cease, and you will make it ashore. This motivational-devotional book was written to give encouragement during the storms of life in hopes that you realize that the blessings and calling on your life is abundantly greater than the rough season you are facing. To whom much is given, much is required. Remember Isaiah 43:2: "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppressions, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you." Stay encouraged.
This book is about a young Jewish girl who survives the tragedy of losing her parents at a young age. She is raised by a loving grandmother. After a five-year marriage dissolves, Deborah Hoffman inherits her grandmother's Victorian mansion in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. While maintaining the property, a local handyman not only helps repair her home but also helps her to better recognize a drawing in her spirit. As a stringer at the local newspaper, her life is filled with suspense, tragedy, another unique inheritance, betrayal, political corruption, and an incoherent hunger for God.
Battling the enemy, alcoholism, and post-traumatic stress disorder--often at the same time--requires superhuman strength. Truth of it is: it's outside of human ability to do so for very long. Many times, the harder battle is the one found when the physical fight is over. PTSD and substance abuse are in a spiraling symbiotic relationship that gets worse over time and has claimed countless lives of service members, police, and other first responders. Those trained to run to the sound of the guns often don't have the capacity to recognize when they are outgunned and refuse or don't know how to seek help. Often they also believe that they are the only ones facing these personal battles. This book is meant to shed light on those battles from a firsthand perspective, both physical, mental, and spiritual. As a Special Forces (also known as Green Berets) soldier, I found myself at the lowest point of my life. When I ran out of my own answers and bravado, I was led to the solution to the problems I was facing. It wasn't one I would have explored in normal circumstances--it was literally the last place I looked. It took running out of options and being beat to a point I was ready to listen and actually hear. That answer carried me through over a decade of turmoil and chaos and continues to carry me today, provided I rely on Him. There is no way I would be here and able to tell you this story otherwise. Reaching out and asking for help is the first step and often the hardest part.Trust me when I say, I didn't believe it either.
Jenny Borhen was an orphaned blind teenager when she found the support of a caring family. Later in life, as a master teacher in a school for the blind, Jenny read the book she wrote about the journey taken by her adoptive family to a prospective student. The journey began with brother and sister, Troy and Lisa Bates, after they experienced the tragic loss of their parents because of a fire. The siblings were faced with a decision to rebuild and remain on the homestead farm or embark on a cross-country journey. The journey from New Jersey to California in 1848 would prove to be a challenge and a rewarding life adventure. The siblings would learn to defend themselves, provide lifesaving assistance to other travelers, and experience the unexpected protection provided by Indians. The travelers explored the greatness and beauty of this country. They experienced the power of love and the wisdom of their parents and elders. The journey highlights how our country's history, laws, leadership, innovators, explorers, investors, and neighbors have all influenced its greatness. The westward journey resulted in a transformation of two young siblings to the degree that they ultimately had a positive impact on their local community, state, country, and young future leaders.
The words I have written, and have this opportunity to share with you, are from my journey through my walk of faith. They cover a wide variety of spiritual poems; many of which are personal in my life. My hope is you will find something encouraging and inspirational. I tried to give this book a flow from beginning to end. Starting from "Faith," "New Life" with Jesus through "Salvation," progressing through "Storms" of life, "God's Grace," "Future Hope" and ending with "Thoughts to Ponder." Other chapters may enlighten your journey of faith. I invite you in to read my journey and pray you make a discovery that will illuminate your walk with God. My desire is for On Wings of Poetry to touch hearts, dear readers. It is my joy to share with you these words and pray your heart will be touched. Thank you for sharing some of my walk with Jesus and God. As you read through these pages, be blessed in the reading. To God be the glory for all He has inspired me to put in this book. May His touch be on you in His own special way as you journey through life. In Christ's love, Nancy
Welcome on the journey in Pathways to Joy. You will embark on a journey that everyone will face at one time or another, and for many, it will be several times. It is called the valley of the shadow of death, as described in Psalm 23. The main focus of the valley of the shadow of death is that we go through it! We don't set up camp and make a permanent dwelling; we go through it! Difficulties are not our destiny, but it leads to our destiny. My difficulties have brought a destiny for me to write Pathways to Joy. For far too many, the valley of the shadow of death becomes a lonely place, making it more difficult to get through. In Pathways to Joy, I share with you one of my most difficult times while prompting you to share yours. We will take this journey together.Every person has a story to tell, and I believe it is vital to have someone to share your story with. This one-month soul-care-prompting book will guide you in steps to stay close to the Lord, keeping loneliness at bay. Following the example of Paul's letters, you are encouraged to give thanks, give praise, pray continually, confess to one another, build up your faith, and proclaim the good news. Be encouraged, my brother and sister. You are not alone. If at any time, you need someone to talk to you can reach me or a team member at pathwaystojoybook@gmail.com. Our goal is to biblically guide you through your journey and be the living example of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: "Two are better than one... For if they fall one will lift up his companion." We are with you and for you. Be encouraged. You are going to make it! You are not alone.
I love to laugh! I also love to tell stories! For me, that's a risky combination. But more importantly, I want to help people to grow deeper in love with King Jesus.I firmly believe that the Creator fashioned us to laugh, smile, and sometimes even ROFL. I believe Jesus had a sense of humor. Just look at the funny things we see in His creation that make us giggle and smile. I like to imagine that He enjoyed more than His share of belly laughs with His disciples and audiences. I also know Jesus liked to tell stories--sometimes, long stories.I've taken some of my favorite true stories (with a few embellishments) that have made me laugh through the years and want to share them with you. I hope these might serve to help you spend some time with Jesus as you grin, chuckle, or maybe even snort your coffee through your nose. As you read, hopefully, you will be prompted to walk closer to the One who loves you most.Grab your coffee or tea and take a few minutes to hopefully laugh harder, love Jesus more intentionally, and live more devotedly for your Best Friend. Now enjoy some "Ha-Hallelujah!"
A Day at the Park is a priceless, heartwarming story of children at their neighborhood park that help one of their friends through hurt, pain, and humiliation by showing him unconditional love.
