Extensively illustrated report on an excavation in Oxfordshire near the Iron Age hillfort at Segsbury. Innovative scientific techniques have revealed some important details such as familial relationships and dating that would not otherwise have been known.
This report presents the results of excavations undertaken ahead of construction of the A120 bypass and associated flood alleviation scheme. Evidence from the Mesolithic to the post-Roman period was found but the main results are later prehistoric settlements and a Roman farmstead that was involved in the large-scale production of spelt.
