Sunken Sunlight has a vigorous and animated breeze. It is a novel about the brevity of life, which slowly fades towards a particular finish. It has a joyful view. Its purpose is to ask questions through a faded smile and, skirting the outlines, represent itself in new clothes and redefine the cardinal outlines behind those ethereal modes of writing which induce the mind into graceful contemplations. There is only a continual bit of pallid pigmentation running about the pages and casting soft glimmers through the breeze and the waves and the little lingering beauty by the tip of every evanescent line. Soft words throb in a land of their own, where perhaps, like everything else, the beauty of the world may softly seep down from the horizons laid ahead of it.About the AuthorSunken Sunlight is the third novel by Victor Grant, who has previously written When Does the Sorrow End and A Sound from Above. Only 20, Victor has found writing to be an enlivening and enlightening pursuit that allows him to portray the scenery of life with the feeble, fickle brush of language.
Author Mark Guinn has always believed that, at some point in life, everybody questions the "why" of life. Guinn's question arose early in life, around sixth grade. Being born and raised as a Catholic in northern Iowa had a significant effect on him. Guinn felt the stories that the nuns told of the Old Testament were very moving and uplifting. Then, with a move to Minnesota when his father took a job there, Guinn's belief in Catholicism saw God from a different view. Years later, a trainee cultural exchange student came into Guinn's life. In her, Guinn saw a closer, more personal one-on-one relationship with God than he had ever seen before. And I Ran from Her is Guinn's view on an ever-changing world that set the "me" in life's "theme." About the AuthorMark Guinn is the third oldest in a family with ten kids. Needless to say, his parents had their hands full in providing for them. Even though Guinn put himself through college, he is still surprised he graduated from high school. It's not as if he was born in the horse-and-buggy days, but his father's view of homework was work "at home" that needed to be done. With that said, Guinn did learn how to work. Work was his foundation, his foothold in life-anything worth doing is worth doing well. Guinn's work ethic earned him recognition for intuitive reasoning, leadership, and getting the job done. Guinn believes life is worth living, that the way to move forward is to look for the good in all things, and that the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement. He wants readers to know that regardless of where you are in life, there will be some area, some aspect that at some point needs to be improved, and that one should not be afraid of taking the next step in life, one step at a time.

He goes to the land of the dead where he prays and is sorry for his disobedience. The great fish leaps high in the air and beaches itself on the shore of Nineveh. Can anyone become a Visionary Leader? This question, laid out at the onset of the book, is answered with a resounding "Yes!" throughout its chapters. Stephen R. Mason was inspired to shares his reflections on his long career as an executive in the healthcare industry. Simply put, Mason is motivated by the thought that sharing his journey and the insights he has learned along the way might be of service to others. That journey shows up as a series of refreshingly personal analogies and anecdotes organized around a set of guiding principles called The Success Formula. While leaving plenty of room for individual interpretation, The Success Formula offers time-tested and well-vetted recommendations for making the most ambitious vision a reality. Mason incorporates interesting examples from his own career in healthcare to illustrate how any organization-including those in fields not known for their swift adaptation and market repositioning-can learn to innovate and think beyond the status quo. Once you know that becoming a Visionary Leader is possible, the inevitable follow-up question is: "How?" The author answers this question in the section of the book that precedes The Success Formula: Prepare for the Journey. One of the primary ideas of the book is that visionary leadership comes from within, not from without. A Visionary Leader must be willing to wrestle with his or her thoughts, emotions, and deeply held beliefs to find the confidence to stand up in front of an entire organization and say, "Follow me." Visionary Leadership: Learning to Lead from the Inside Out explains these concepts in a way that is straightforward in both comprehension and application, without shying away from bigger themes of meaning, purpose, and spirituality. Readers will find this book inspirational and instructional, a roadmap for exploring the path of their own careers.About the AuthorStephen R. Mason has dedicated his entire professional career to the health and well-being of others. In his four decades of service to the healthcare industry, Mason has held a number of management and leadership roles, most recently as CEO of one of the largest regional health systems in the country. Suspension came about quite by accident. I wanted to write a paragraph for my Character Education students to analyze, and I literally just kept writing. My students read each chapter as I finished it, often asking me to describe what happened next. I would respond honestly that I wouldn't know until it had been written. When my first draft was complete, one of my students was reading it during art. Admonished to focus on her present class, she gave the draft to our school's talented art teacher, who, the following morning, asked to illustrate it. As I wrote, I found myself revisiting and contemplating my personal experiences with bullying, friendships, expectations, disappointments, successes, and love. In Suspension, Leo Smith gets to live my most remarkable journey! I hope readers will feel that they are living it, as well.
