'Family is Family' is a picture book for children approximate age 2-7 years old. It is beginning picture book to introduce different lifestyles and families to young children. It has pictures of a single child family, extended families, same-sex families, adopted children in families, interracial families, and children that live in group homes. In each picture story, the child feels lucky to have the family that they have, which all children should feel this way. It is a book to help reduce bullying in today's world by teaching children that all families are important no matter the circumstances. If we introduce the diverse families to children when they are young, maybe they will be more likely not to bully children that are different.
