In the desert, where he and the world are now being restored, he ponders and reflects on his past which has brought him to his present and soon discovers a glorious future in a miraculous surprise.

Many clergymen have made great inroads in the shaping of the American society. Some as great orators, some as great theologians, some as great writers. Some influenced the founding of denominations and others as educators.Such of these in this book.Of course, many are not listed who did some of these listed above, but their locations of burial could not be found. Or some died overseas doing ministry.These represent those who have died after leaving their mark and there are those still leaving theirs today. They are not listed herein.

The story of the Dover Baptist Church has its roots in the history of the Washington Ave. Free Will Baptist Church with pastorates of some of the most prominent leaders of that movement.

In my lifetime I have known many great preachers who have become mentors for me and the one of whom this book is about was one of them.Ben Scott's grandfather, father, brother and three sons and grandson are all ministers of the gospel. I am not at all sure as to how many ministers that was in his family tree, and that of his wife's family. I am aware of at least four families of which he was a part that all had ministers. For example, the Scott family, the Smith family, the Vandivort and Postlewaites.We have shared so much in common. We both served the same churches at different times in our ministries, both pastored in Arkansas and Missouri.
