The goal of this collection is to bring awareness to the plight of the thousands of cats that are currently suffering in shelters and needlessly walked into the gas chamber every day. The proceeds from the sale of the 2014 anthology will support the work of Almost Home Animal Shelter, a no-kill haven in Southeast Michigan.

Unlikely Trees is a collection that explores. It travels on foot, by car, bus, plane, and ship. Playing AAU and High School basketball in a big time program, such as Plymouth Canton and Salem's, where there were over 4,000 students, wasn't easy. There were many pitfalls. It wasn't always fun for these young ladies trying their best to keep their hard driving coaches happy by playing great, top-notch basketball. It demanded a year round commitment. It was also a constant struggle to maintain high grade point averages while not always getting a good nights sleep.

The Tao of Trailing is not simply an advanced training manual on working a trailing/tracking dog, but more importantly, it is Jeff's philosophical approach to working with dogs in general. K9 work is more than a matter of learning rules or theory. One cannot master K9 deployment by a training program alone. Like martial arts, working a dog takes a certain style or panache; an individual component unique not only to the handler but the dog alike and in partnership. The relationship between a handler and his or her K9 is formed with blood, sweat, tears and a lot of time. And, of course, Jeff will impart to the reader his lvoe and passion: The Hunt!
