"Just keep on living..." My late mother, the inspiration for Ageless Glamour Girls¿, used to love saying this. I first heard it in my mid-twenties, but it didn't click until later in life when I began navigating this aging journey. And among many of our mothers back then, there was very little, if any, talk with their daughters about growing older, and all that comes with it. And the M-word? What the heck is that? This void inspired me to want to share information and engage with other women on the same journey. My first foray into gathering and celebrating women came years ago when I set out to form the online group, Between Us Girls, and I secured the domain name, betweenusgirls.com. After my job began taking over my life, I somehow lost the domain before I got started in earnest, and when I checked it again, it was a porn site. Oh well... Several years later, and still on a mission to become a vehicle to help women manage aging, I created Ageless Glamour Girls¿, targeting women 50+. (I cover the origin of the name in my chapter.) My vision was, and still is today, to provide a platform in which women of a certain age can "gather" together and share information on various topics, including caregiving, finances, second acts, menopause, plastic surgery, dementia, sexual health, grief, incontinence, and everything else from finding love to finding the best mascara that stands up to hot flashes. Our goal is to inform, inspire, empower, motivate, and entertain through the voices of various experts and women sharing their personal stories. We love uplifting and celebrating older women through various platforms, including social media posts on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook - the AGG website, and a private FB group: The Ageless Café, the Ageless Glamour Girls¿ Podcast; and now an anthology: "Ageless Glamour Girls¿: Reflections on Aging." I am THRILLED the women in this book chose to share their stories with me and the world. Get ready to be inspired, amazed, informed, and entertained! A huge thank you and shout out to my phenomenal co-authors! I love you, Ladies! #blessingsgalore
Resonance Within is to BE/BECOME WHO YOU ARE"Resonance in physics is defined as A phenomenon in which an external force or a vibrating system forces another system around it to vibrate with greater amplitude at a specified frequency of operation."The "ME" Project Community is to promote: Growth, Development, Accountability, Community (Common + Unity = Community) The commonality is we all have encountered & experienced trials, tribulations, and the vicissitudes of life (heartache, pain, loss, disappointment, and frustration) as girls, boys, sisters, brothers, women, men, mothers, fathers, wives, and husbands. Who have voices that need to be expressed through positive, constructive, conducive means to BE/ BECOME WHO WE WERE CREATED TO BE? In our unity, there is POWER to move mountains WITHIN and WITHOUT.
In Beyond the Palace, Smith has thoroughly labored to open the door of our hearts to God's all-encompassing, incredibly awesome sovereignty. This time, I did not see it coming. What do you do when you determine that a scream, a holler, or a church shake won't break the grip of guilt and shame off you? Here's one man's answer in "The Cries of a Divorced Pastor" - Victor L. Powell's transparent journey through his own pain and guilt, shame and disappointment, processed through intimate conversations with God. Public figures often appear to be public successes, while their private lives are secret failures. The secular and church worlds prescribe to an image of perfection, forcing people in positions of power to suffer in silence. Powell made personal, painful, and risky decisions accompanied by criticism, condemnation, and consequences. You will discover that as he embraced his connection with God through conversations, his cries turned from shame to forgiveness and restoration, proof that God can talk you through it all.
Walk with Lichelle as she shares her journey out of depression. This book is filled with both childhood and adult trauma she experienced that contributed to her mental health struggles. She has battled depression off and on for many years and understands the various challenges one faces. In this book, she details the things and people that both hurt and helped her along the way. She truly shares from the depth of her soul. Some of the challenges she faced she has shared with others, and there are other challenges which many will be learning about for the very first time. She shares about her losing all hope and wanting to die for a very long time. She is extremely transparent in her experience. She held nothing back; for she is glad that she has lived to tell her story and hopeful that she will help many others on their journey. This book is a journey from defeat to victory. It provides her story, but it also provides strategies and tools that others can use as they navigate their journey or help others to do so. There are no quick fixes to overcoming depression. It requires a lot of prayer and hard work. But, if you are up for the task and you have supportive people around you, it can be achieved. With this book, Lichelle hopes to continue the conversation of what depression really looks like and how it affects individuals. She hopes to help remove the stigma attached, especially in the church and she hopes to encourage greater work to support others; for it is direly needed. She cannot wait to become a part of this great work. She may have experienced some devastating things, but she believes that it is all working together for her good and for such a time as this.
If you're reading this book, I want you to know that you're better than that, and it doesn't matter if you've been told otherwise. As I have gotten closer to the Lord, I have learned that words make up stories, stories make up chapters in our lives, and chapters make up books. Get up woman of God and write the book. Some of us even have volumes that have gone untouched, but it is time to tell your story and save someone's life and destiny. My prayer today is that my story can help change your life, bring healing to a broken vessel, and wholeness to God's daughters. Now I do know that there are plenty of men out there that are caught up in domestic violence situations and may even be stuck there and have no idea how to break away. I understand but I'm speaking to the women now. It is my calling to help broken women, and so I command today that the chains of bondage be broken off your life today daughter and that you be set free and made whole in Jesus' name! All I can say to the man right now is get out and get out NOW!
This is a true story about how I overcame adversity in my life. Some people may ridicule, judge, criticize, or no longer call me a friend, as some have already done. Nevertheless, these are the struggles I endured as a soldier and husband. No one knows all that I have kept buried deep inside of me to keep the peace in my home over the last 30 years of my life. I am disappointed and ashamed of myself for things I have done and said when it came to my marriage and family. Some content may be hard for you to understand or relate to, especially if you have never been a victim of emotional and verbal abuse. Can you imagine what it's like to be in the military, married with children, and knowing that one day you may have to leave them for a long period of time to defend your country and you may never see them again? Not knowing if your marriage is strong enough to handle the pressure of you not being there to comfort them, to kiss your children good night, or lay next to your spouse holding her as tightly as you can so she will always feel safe in your arms. Just the thought of it is stressful, but to live it is a life changing journey of a soldier. My story tells the highs and lows, joys and pains, laughter and tears, and the trust and deceit. The military way of life can be very hard on your marriage, your mind, and your body. I struggle every day to overcome the verbal, emotional stress, and physical abuse I endured in the military and in my marriage. I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Insomnia, Depression, Suicidal Thoughts, and Anxiety. I have been seeing a psychiatrist since 2016. Through this and the help of my loving fiancée, with God's grace and mercy, I am becoming the man I want to be. I hope my story will touch someone out there and encourage them to seek help as I did.

As we struggle in this life that we have been presented with, while reading Apostle Lizelle Bradley's book, The Warfare of a Woman, I was captivated by the anointing that flowed. This book represents everything that we need as Christians to give us guidance and direction while dealing with the tactics of the enemy. This book is an eye-opener for you to focus on God's intent for your life and to embrace the uniqueness for the purpose He has established for you as a Christian, to know how to fight the good fight of faith, and handle warfare properly through the guidance of the word of God.The author relates this book in a way that will captivate you and help to reprogram, remove self-destructive behaviors, and most of all deal with the battle of the mind through scripture. This is a very powerful and practical book that will give you strength. There is a message that will conform and transform your very life. This book will guide and direct you into a greater understanding concerning warfare and the limitless armor that God has equipped us with to annihilate the enemy out of every area of our lives. Apostle Sherol D. Larkin
This book embraces the Nehemiah strategy used to rebuild the walls and reform the people in 52 days. The journey for the participant will go beyond the 52 days, encouraging a renewed focus and relationship that demonstrates an outward manifestation of the glory of God. It is a plenipotentiary feat to preside over the work of the wall! But we know, we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Enjoy the journey!
My view toward life has always questioned my thoughtless actions. What evil provokes me to not forgive? What action has gone before me that has placed shackles on my heart? I sit and ponder, can this generational curse be broken? Can my heart find forgiveness and this love we have all yearned for? Life's journey is not easy; but if you pay close attention during the process, one can learn lessons that will monitor the thought process, which determines the very essence of our foundation. The mechanism found in the story of the woman at the well will spur relief that propels self-healing for personal acceptance.
As I write this memoir, I have reached the age of 84. I have had a long and varied career in the workplace since graduating from college in 1956, and I have lost my life partner of almost 59 years on October 11, 2013. I thought writing this would be both therapeutic for me and possibly a useful bit of history for my adult children and grandchildren to help chronicle some of the life steps that got me to this place in time. This is not meant to be a definitive and complete history of my life. Instead, I have presented a series of snap shots of various events during my lifetime as I recall them. ~ Edgar Russell, Jr.
I decided to do a book for women to express who they are as women, but in a way where each woman felt free to express themselves through personal stories of what their truth was and is. As a woman, I believe we should all come together and be with one accord, but that is not always the case. We know that women do not always get along, but I want to be living proof and make that a false claim. The true issue is that there are women who do not like themselves, so it becomes almost impossible for them to like others. With the vision of this women's book, I believe it will be a spiritual and emotional release. As women, we can take a look at ourselves and how view other women. Despite all our trials and struggles, we want better. We can do better for ourselves without passing judgment against our sisters. We can encourage one another to help build each other up. I am very clear about the purpose of this book because I know that women will identify with these stories through things that women experience. But through it all and despite what I have gone through, I give God the praise: "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." (Psalm 139:14) Dr. Tenaria Drummond-Smith
