Author L. A. Espriux presents to the reader this latest collection of short stories titled Mask of Her Reflection in Venus. These intriguing tales expressed from the point of view of 10 female protagonists, challenges superficial concept of what it means to be born female in a world primarily dominated by historical male agenda. This collection does not voice commercialized doctrine that to be stronger than one's enemy, then one must become as one's enemy with indistinguishable objective. The stories portrayed here are not meant to express any particular political position or gender-affirming role model to cultivate identity through concept of universal socialization within mechanical process. Nor do the ideas presented in these narratives have anything to do with sex or objectified labels, which must ultimately lead to division. Some of these tales dark, others light: all reflective of deeper meaning in what it means to be. Author is presently engaged in writing a second volume. This collection titled His Image Forged in Mars to be published sometime next year. For in the balance of nature one quantum cannot be without the other.
After discovery and conquest of the New World, this epic properly begins in the year 1640 with the Spanish treasure Galleon, Libertad, captained by a Basque naval officer named Jacob Belasko. The passenger list on this fated voyage is a San Franciscan Friar, a demon-possessed South American Shaman, and fifteen North American Indians of unusual ancestry. Two maritime disasters conspire to bring these diverse individuals together after a shipwreck on the South Carolina coast. Man from the southern continent receives title of Xeantee Aconee and becomes tribal leader. Only he and band of fifteen Indians survive to make a new beginning on a swamp island isolated from rest of the world. More than a century later, British army deserter, Adam Pixley, arrives on the island and becomes an honorary tribe member. He learns their ways, marries, and sires a child. But because of grief and a latent lust for the material, Adam Pixley becomes the harbinger of destruction. After discovering a stash of gold doubloons, he establishes a wealthy dynasty that will last into the 20th century. The reader transported to 1960's Vietnam War era America, a poor small mill village town named Liberty. Homer's Bar and Liquor Store is the hub of activity, providing alcohol escape from the prison of industrial bedlam. Here we meet many savory characters, some on predictable tragic course. Others elevated to enlightenment by influence of profound revelation. Within construct of this story, several questions rise to the surface, shining light on many unsolved mysteries. Who is really Nela Smith, last surviving heir to the Pixley estate? What is the monster that roams the Liberty Swamp, known to all only as Weistbaily? What connection is there between Bubba Baily, a Jew from the tough side of New York, the Liberty monster, and another character named Dave Tracey? The greater mystery, what happened to the original inhabitants, referred to as the Aconee Indians? Even more perplexing is the meaning and origin of the word "Shelecheyanu", which Linguistic and Archeological expert, Jeremiah Wake, will devote a lifetime to solve? To the locals, Liberty Swamp is a place laced with unknown dangers, manifesting imagined terror of life's inevitability. A place avoided through slumbered existence. Liberty Epic of Shadows is a snapshot of global history only glimpsed in shadow made through embrace of many deceptions.
Most astronomers agree that the observable universe began with a Big Bang singularity, initiating the mechanical process described as entropy. Entropy is defined by the three laws of thermodynamic reaction: Loss of energy through consumption, Loss of energy through transference, and Loss of energy through depletion. In other words, the eventuality of the physical universe is absolute zero. Or, put another way, it is the death of everything. Of course, this will take somewhere between 20 to 30 billion years, relative to time constants. Which also raises another questionable dilemma: What is Time? Elaborate mathematical models designed to ascribe functional meaning to this grand engine of design. Theories of acceptance are laboriously tested and constantly revised, yet the more layers peeled away, the more profound the mystery of origin and meaning. Many corrective values are invented along the way to fill in the voids and to make the ledgers add up. Sometimes this is achieved through practical formulation, by model manipulation to make the theory fit the observation; sometimes by revising the theory, with the application of another set of theories, to make the conclusions fit the model. Through many lenses of molecular structural observation, matter and energy take on a different meaning thought not possible through traditional concepts of organization. As the science of humankind peers ever deeper into the fabric of perceived reality with the aid of improved optics, astounding possibilities emerge that defy logical understanding. Instead of a static cosmos of predictability, a digital micro-universe emerges with Quarks and Flavors emanating from another space through tentacles of string association that defy even modern conclusions of quantum mechanics. Always the elephant in the room remains; what is the source and nature of the First Cause? This book carefully references the existential components described through secular hypothesis, daring to make an intellectual argument of evaluation between these and the true spiritual meaning of a transcendent text known as the Holy Bible. It further examines the dimensional layers of a condition described as subspace, comparing it to non-quantum positions of angelic principalities. It intelligently demands answers to basic contradictions ignored through collective absurdity and sequestered by institutional acceptance. This book also attempts to analyze the foundation principles of every discipline by challenging the myopia of base assumptions. In light of infinite velocity, what is the true age of the universe, and why does it appear the same in every direction? Is old-world history, as explained by jigsaw pieces laid out on The Periodic Table, the only narrative possible? What does the term Trans-humanism mean? Is it a cure to mortality or a future taskmaster in the image of artificial intelligence? And are flying saucers real, and if so, from where do they originate? These interrogations are not meant to challenge intellectual positions but to challenge the deterministic conclusions of consensus. It is an open discussion to the open-minded: it is Search of the Perfect Code Discovered. Please visit the author''s page at www.espriux.com.
