SURVIVAL - CARTER'S STORY, THE CARPENTER CHRONICLES BOOK 4, A CHRISTIAN ROMANCE Always clean, always appropriate for all ages our romance stories are filled with faith, family, and finding love and more. SURVIVAL, CARTER'S STORY is the fourth book in the Christian romance series The Carpenter Chronicles written by bestselling author Janice Limb Myers. In this series, you'll enjoy the stories of the Carpenter family headed by matriarch Grace Carpenter, also the CEO of the family publishing business. Each book in the series addresses the challenges and rewards of living the Christian life. Carter is the twin of Chelsea, both 26-years-old. He attended school in the Los Angeles area, majoring in Architecture and finished his Master's degree at Stanford. By age 25 he was employed by a large architectural firm in the heart of San Francisco. He loved living there and often traveled home to Heber City, Utah for engagement parties, weddings, and other family events. The oldest of his siblings, Carter hadn't waited to get married; he simply hadn't run into anyone who made the sparks fly. Carter is very close to his mother, Grace, and although he doesn't work in the family publishing business, he looks out for his mother and sisters since the sudden death of their father on the ski slopes of Park City. He grew up in a happy home with horses, but his favorite interests were cars and skiing, following in his father's footsteps. Carter nearly has it all at home and in his condo...an attentive, loving family, a great job he loves in San Francisco, all the physical comforts of life and wonderful memories, particularly of his father and family events. The one thing he doesn't have is someone with whom he wants to share his life through eternity, to be the mother of his children, and a loving, supportive wife. All his sisters are now married or at least engaged. Maybe. Someday. For now, he's focused on his career and his family back home in Utah. Then he takes a lunch break from work just to run to the nearby café for a grilled cheese sandwich. Surprised does not describe what Carter felt when he entered the café to find the wife of a college roommate crying. Will getting involved after so many years allow his heart to SURVIVE? Worse yet, will his family survive if they can't outsmart the goons threatening to kill someone they love? Snuggle up in a comfy chair with something good to drink, and spend a couple of hours with Carter as he explores a whole new world far from his roots in a devoutly Christian home.

Have you wondered what other people from various backgrounds and cultures think about such topics as salvation? Redemption? The Lord's Supper and its real purpose? Clemmie Palmer, III, MD has written an easy-to-read, entertaining book for both the layperson and the seminarian looking for a quick view on some of the major topics covered in seminary and the Bible. Clemmie wrote: "The emphasis here is on salvation, redemption, sin, apocalyptic literature, as well as the Lord's Supper and its purpose." A collection of teachings culled from Clemmie's experiences studying both various version of scripture and well-known authors on the topics, and most notably during his education at Hood Theological Seminary, this volume will challenge your thinking on some principles and likely cement your views on others. He intends to inspire readers to survey their paradigms in relation to others', and in the process, find a more fulfilling place with their own thoughts and education. It is the goal of the author to motivate the reader to think outside the box and understand that a diversity of views can enrich one's perspective on scripture, the Bible, the Gospels, the mission of Jesus Christ, His atonement, and other gospel topics. Such study and introspection of thought should be encouraged. The author also explains his and others' views on various changes in cultural norms from the early American claims of witchcraft in the church in the 1600's to today's issue on homosexuality and the church. The text of this book is written in an engaging manner with major emphasis being placed on dialogue between groups to add interest as well as clarity the points being made. Major topics within the group dialogues are salvation, atonement, forgiveness, sin and evil, and the Lord's Supper. The author draws heavily on his religious experiences delving into various schools of thought regarding these topics. Each chapter ends with a set of chapter endnotes illustrating for the reader the research the author accomplished to confirm the diverse views of theology he describes. A significant portion of his work is backed up by ideas and quotes recorded by C. S. Lewis, a favorite of Christians the world over. Review: As a Christian myself, it has been a joy to work with Clemmie on this book. His message and writing are clear, often entertaining, and as I read each word, I was moved to a clearer understanding of my own perceptions and feelings of the Gospels and my gratitude for the atonement offered each of us through Christ. Clemmie's favorite scripture says it all: 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT) For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. I hope readers will find the same solace and clarity of thought in reading this book as I did. It is an honor to publish it. -Jan Myers, LJM Publishing, LLC Reading diverse theological views in an entertaining way allows the reader to focus on their own beliefs in comparison to how others see those same principles and occurrences. It's your life, yes, and you are free to espouse the truth as you see it reflected in your own life. Yet a review of varying perspectives will help you become more acutely aware of your own thinking and become even more firmly committed to your view of the world and scripture. The emphasis in this book is on salvation, redemption, sin, apocalyptic literature, as well as the Lord's Supper and its purpose. Dr. Palmer encourages readers to thirst for a hunger for diversity in thinking and sharing in such a way that strengthens everyone's moral commitment to and gratitude for the life-saving sacrifice of Christ. Read, and think outside the box to understand that a diversity of views can enrich one's own position, and should be encouraged. Begin today with your copy of Dr. Palmer's new book.

Always clean, always appropriate for all ages our romance stories are filled with faith, family, and finding love. SALVATION - Courtney's Story is the third book in the Christian romance series The Carpenter Chronicles written by bestselling author Janice Limb Myers, previously a missionary. In this series you'll enjoy the stories of the Carpenter family lead by matriarch Grace Carpenter, also the CEO of the family publishing business. Each book in the series addresses the challenges and rewards of living the Christian life. Courtney was an angry child, blaming God for the deaths of her mother when she was 7 and her dad when she was 11. Anger clouded her emotions so much it was hard to appreciate her adopted family or the Mormon faith that was central in their lives. Now Courtney Carpenter is 23 and has it all - an attentive, loving family, a great job at the family's publishing company, all the physical comforts of life, and memories ... awful, dreaded memories of her childhood. Just when she thinks she's finally getting her adult life together, she gets news that would turn her whole world upside down and call into question her very identity. Courtney has made no secret at work of the fact that she wants to transfer from the home office in Utah where her adoptive mother is the CEO and be able to run a branch office in a much more exciting city like Dallas or San Francisco, New York City, possibly even a foreign assignment. Just a bit more experience and she should be ready for the promotion. But she should know from the life she's already had that hers is not one to follow a plan. Her apple cart is about to be tipped over and then over again making her focus on one very basic question: Who am I really? Until she can answer that questions, the dream job in a big city will be out of the question. Only her adoptive mother, Grace, holds the key to the 'dirty little secret' that is dogging Courtney. When Grace spills the beans, can Courtney live with her new reality and still move forward?
