ENGLISH DESCRIPTION: Knowledge on Shi'i Islam has become somewhat of a rarity or a speciality area for mainstream Muslims, and for Somalis it is even less. As such, with today's political and ideological spread of Shi'ism in the world and in Africa specifically, as spearheaded by Iran, it is utmost importance that some background knowledge should be available in the Somali language. This short work aims to answer some important questions such as; What is the historic relevance of Shi'ism? What is the creedal points of Shi'i Islam? How do they approach the Sunni Muslims, religiously and politically? Is there any data to support the influence of Shi'ism in East Africa, and specifically Somalia? This work is research based findings that tackle the above points and concisely reproduces the dark history that is Shi'ism. Also there is clear evidence of Iran's foreign policy that has an agenda to spread Shi'ism. This work also highlights some points of covert missions to undermine Sunni states in East Africa. Lastly the work will cover the historic experience of Shi'ism in East Africa.
