American painter Edward Hopper once said, "Maybe I am not very human--what I wanted to do was to paint sunlight on the side of a house." Indeed, Hopper's canvases delineate a new physics of Modern public space, in which the zones between people are not charged with responsiveness (affection, animosity, attraction) but with absolute indifference. Whether alone or grouped, Hopper's solitary figures bespeak Modern metropolitan conditions with a clarity that is deepened by his very specific ability to capture architecture, interior space and, of course, light. This volume presents a substantial overview of the oeuvre of Berlin-based painter Albrecht Schnider (born 1958), looking at his figurative and abstract works on paper, meticulously crafted line drawings, landscape drafts, typographical sketches and paintings in oil or acrylic on canvas.

A Moment in Time is the first all-encompassing publication on the multifaceted work of Swiss artist Victorine Müller (born 1961). This catalogue presents the first comprehensive study of the numerous projects realized by these pioneers of performance.

Thomas Schmidt (born 1943) has constructed a series of oval paintings and works on paper that accentuate the hips, thighs, feet, breasts and even the underwear of women, exaggeratedly operating from a male perspective. This publication presents the series.

Made by Duchamp in 1914, "Pharmacie" is a cheap reproduction of a winter landscape with two drops of color and the artist's signature added to it.
