Musings is an extensive anthology of poems written by the author over a period of some forty years. Now, the collection is recast anew. In this new volume, the author invites the reader to join him on a journey of times, places, and scenes, both real and imaginary. This is the author's invitation as the book opens.Like many of the drawings and paintings that the author crafted, the verses are often images of light, shadow, colors, sprawling meadows, ever-shifting meters, and phrases now hurrying, now pausing as the reader moves along through the lines and stanzas.The reader may find themselves at the Siege of Troy or watching the Merlin of Britain casting his dragon magic. The verses may place the reader with the author in an ancient graveyard, scanning the inscriptions engraved on headstones of granite; standing below a sky full of scudding clouds; or smelling the soft scent of spring rain wafting by. The reader might even sit with their back pressed against an ancient oak tree, seeking to understand what old Mister Oak might say if he could speak a phrase or two. Maybe the scene will shift to the carnage of an ancient battle where there was no real victory.Through it all, the collection invites the reader to come to know and sense the emotions, images, dreams, and so much more of the author, maybe wonder at a silver moon sailing upon an ebony sky. My Journey Into Madness: A Travelogue is a stream-of-consciousness story about one man's journey to find a purpose in his life. It is an irreverent, bizarre, and sometimes thought-provoking look at the world through the narrator's eyes, as he navigates through the real and imaginary worlds inside of his mind. Two other short stories are included, bordering on the supernatural occurrences in the lives of their characters. Lead Us Not Into Temptation revolves around one man's possible infidelity and the costs of his possible transgression. Hope Remained is a spin on the Pandora myth, about a writer who deals with supernatural forces for help in creating the next great American novel.

Looking at Lyphe Differently is about a kid named Philthe growing up in the scandalous streets of Kansas City. Philthe would have to deal with the struggles of life. Growing up not knowing who his father was. Living in low-income housing projects with no stability. Having to always move from place to place so much that he couldn't get comfortable with the thought of keeping friends. Finding out at a young age that people will come in and out of your life for a season or for a reason. Dealing with mental health issues that doctors or people really didn't put on a person as much as going around today. If an issue arose in that era, you kept it to yourself and tried to put it behind you or figured it out without popping a pill. Some would say that a pill will solve all your problems. The result of that is that one pill was to solve your dilemma but brought about several issues along with the original. Then there was the gang and crack era. This divided what was left of the community and broke down homes more than government assistance. Ninety percent of the town were on drugs and having drug babies. Kids grew up with dependence, not knowing why they acted the way that they did. Color rags wrapped around human bodies, claiming areas that they will never own. Life, in general, was misconstrued. Everyone was dealt a ghetto dream. It was handing out false love, no unity, heartache, and death by the number of stars in the sky that one could count on a clear night. What it loved the most was giving away fool's gold. A fake reality within a single grasp, but just a mirage once you think you obtained it. The ones that you would chase to the end of the rainbow for the pot of gold and the leprechaun, just to get reeled into a stool full of crap that never flushes. It turns boys into delinquents and bastards. Girls into sack chasers and gold diggers. The blueprint of life was changing. Bullying was always a part of life for most kids, but with Philthe, he had his hands full of it. Most people will experience death once in a lifetime for their selves and will encounter many others throughout their time on earth. You are born to live and live to die. You will either complete your mission on earth or will be someone else's wake-up call. There are one of three places that you will go after your soul leaves your body: up to the sky, down underground, or you were destined to walk the earth until you completed the task you agreed upon before touching the soil of the earth. Some would say that a child has been here before by certain actions which they would present that only an experienced person would know about. Some would search for their purpose in life. Some would stumble upon it, and others will never know. Some are visionaries that can see their or others' paths. There are also some that turn their heads to the thoughts of knowing what's to come. In my eighteenth year, I was shipped to Vietnam, where I performed a variety of duties as a lower-ranking enlisted man from October 18, 1966 through October 25, 1967. My aim in this novel was to convey in a fictional account something of the truncated experiences I, and others like me, endured. Like millions of other young men, I submitted to the draft laws of the day. Like many of these young men, my motivations and attitudes were mixed and reflective of the conflicting cultural crosswinds of the time.For many of us, there was a lack of that political and psychological clarity reminiscent of past wars such as the American Civil War and World Wars I and II. My book is very unique and different from others. I talk about the news and what is going on with the government. Other things that I mentioned are my opinions on songs, movies, and shows that Hollywood produces and how they speak to me. My book is similar to my first one, as it has everything to do with evolution and my opinion on why we are all here right now on this planet. My book also covers my life story, and it is all based on facts on the world today. There are different sections in my book, and I tried to focus on celebrities more, hoping that they would reach out to me in person.My book also covers sports topics and how I view sports in a different way than you see in TV. My book has some biblical references, and I like to talk about Jesus sometimes. I mentioned parts about society and also how we can improve society with better rules and regulations. When I talk about movies, these are my opinions and I love watching Hollywood produce good shows and movies. I talked about the news a lot in my second book because I think the news is important and is relevant to our lives. I came up with my own information, but I really do think that the world is so important in today's world. I hope that everyone enjoys my second book.
