The objective of our Common Core PARCC Practice Book Grade 3 is to provide students, educators, and parents with practice materials focused on the core skills needed to help students succeed on the third grade PARCC assessment. A student will fare better on a test when s/he has practiced and mastered the skills measured by the assessment. A student also excels when s/he is familiar with the format and structure of the test. This book helps students do both. Students can use this math practice workbook to review key material and practice with standard-tethered skill-building exercises. They can also take PARCC math Grade 3 practice tests that reflect the rigor and format of the PARCC tests. Students will become accustomed to how test content is presented, which will enhance their test-taking skills. By exam day, students will feel confident and prepared to do their best on this challenging mathematics assessment. This gifted and talented workbook also includes resources and tips for preparing for the test, and provides sample questions for each question type. By using this gifted workbook, your student can get used to the format and content of the CogAT Grade 5 test so he or she is adequately prepared and feels confident on test day. This practice test contains all nine question types on the Level 11 CogAT, including:Verbal (Picture Analogies, Sentence Completion, Picture Classification ) Quantitative (Number Analogies, Number Puzzles, Number Series) Figurative (Figure Matrices, Paper Folding, Figure Classification) We suggest you use the practice test as a diagnostic to identify your child's strengths and weaknesses, or as a 'mock' exam to simulate real testing conditions. What's Inside this CogAT Test Prep Book for Grade 5? A full-length CogAT Level 11 practice test (Form 7/8), containing 176 practice questions. Detailed descriptions of questions and answer keys. Essential test prep strategies to help students avoid mistakes and achieve their best score. Why use our Gifted and Talented books? Our goal is to provide you with the very best resources, and the best value for your money. We created our test prep material because we could not find enough good practice material to build thinking skills and effectively prepare students for gifted and talented tests. As tutors, we have used various CogAT test prep books and have found that they either have an incorrect difficulty level or are too expensive. After studying original materials from test creators and testing them on children, we are confident our educational materials and tests reflect the real CogAT® in difficulty and structure. The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT®) is a registered trademark of Houghton Mifflin Company. Houghton Mifflin Company was not involved in the production of, nor endorses, this practice test created by Origins Publications and the Gifted and Talented CogAT Test Prep team.
