This book is for you. May my story give you encouragement and hope as you travel your own journey as a caregiver. Many of us travel this path more than once. There is nothing easy about it. Even on a good day, it's hard. But it is easier when there's a lifetime of loving relationships and good memories before the long-term illness. I was able to thrive because each person blessed my life before the caregiving journey. My story, written as poetry is a record of my spiritual evolution.

Born in Tarapoto, on the fringes of the Amazon Rainforest, Gregorio Delgado did not see a car or make a telephone call until going to high school in Lima. Influenced by this father, whose life was dedicated to the ailing in rural Peru, he chose a career in medicine and studied at the medical school in Trujillo. With the influence of Project Hope, he traveled to the United States to begin his training in Buffalo, New York. Electing to specialize in female cancer, Gregorio Delgado progressed to teach and practice at the nation's leading medical schools and hospitals. By his retirement, he had earned a reputation as one of the world's leading specialists in this branch of cancer surgery. In Trails from Tarapoto, Delgado recalls his childhood days when small town living was simple and walking was a way of life. His intriguing biography focuses on the human side of cancer surgery, based on personal experiences in and outside the operating room-the cathedral of learning. Trails will interest those wishing to know more about the expectations and fears of the man behind the mask and how he views surgical procedures in the future. www.gregdelgado.com

What gifts would a bride receive in 1910? What did people do for fun on a summer Saturday a hundred years ago? Where did people travel during the 1920s? When a newlywed must serve his country and pay the ultimate price, what happens to his widow? While every family history is intricately different in details, we all share questions about our ancestors that usually cannot be easily answered unless there is a letter, a photo, or a vignette of memory. From the 1890s to her own wedding in 1967, the author collected letters, stories, and photographs from her family and has brought them together in this book. Beginning with roots in Buffalo, New York and Wingham, Ontario, growing up during the golden post-war years near Syracuse, and ending with the family move to Florida in 1964, this collection is meant to inspire today's children to find strength in their own ancestral past and be encouraged to write their own history.

Fixing Public Education by Dr. Anthony Dallmann-Jones, PhD along with Nine Experienced Educational Innovators as follows: *Ryan Champeau *Angela Engel *Marcus Gentry *Frank Kros *Laura Lindberg *Steve Parese *William Spady *Lynn Stoddard *Sue Stoddart About the Book: Fixing Public Education explains why our public school system has spiraled into deep trouble by drifting away from education's true purpose. Today's school systems are fear-based, stressful, negative, and pressurized. Some "educational reformers" claim that the stress is necessary if students today are to posses the 21st Century Tools and Skills essential to succeed in life. They demand more pressure, longer school days and years, "higher' standards, and more uniformity. Educational psychologists like Dr. Dallmann_Jones claim this would be the worst possible environment for long-term meaningful learning. "In actuality, more of the same is 180 degrees from what we need," states Dr. Dallmann-Jones. An educator with over five decades of experience, and who has taught students from kindergarten to PhD level, Dr. Anthony Dallmann-Jones, along with nine highly qualified educators, speak as one voice that leads us in a new and positive direction where leaning is depressurized, enjoyable, and clearly identifies and addresses those 21st Century Tools and Skills that allow American to "regain its edge" internationally. A school based on the January Education Model (JEM) not only moves away from standardization but affirms diversity and builds upon it. In a JEM school students (and teachers) will be inspired to discover and expand their unique attributes and talents and encourage excellence and meaningful learning in America's schools.

Early on, schools should create for all students an exciting exposure to the field of science. A collection of motivational beginning experiments have been compiled by the author primarily from the Oil companies School (Libya) and edited for children between the ages of 8 to 15. These beginning experiments successfully cover major units found in most school science textbooks and can be performed for little or no costs. They all have been tested and ranked from easy to hard by science teachers (note page 72). These beginning "hands-on" science experiments should be performed to illustrate a principle or to teach a point! The student, when possible, should be led to see the result without being told. I believe their natural curiosity drives them to learn, follow their own interests with passion and work with commitment on their own learning. You might say, "It opens their minds," by use of the inquiry method and they learn primarily from the work they do and not necessarily from others. However, experiments should never be performed just to say, "Of course we do experiments with all our lessons." The experiments presented in this collection are neither complete nor all inclusive, but should be used as a teacher/student supplement (companion piece) to any selected school text(s), charter school, or home study materials that are being used. I would like to invite all teachers and parents to submit any updates, corrections, changes, new ideas, and personal teaching stories about what worked and why. Teacher/student experiment evaluation listing page/title is welcomed. Also, you can use the B-factor scale-A) Beauty (Blue Ribbon). B) Best (easy). C) Better (OK). D) Bummer (did not work and why). If you have some favorite educational inspirational poems, graphs, or stories that you want to share, they too would be greatly appreciated. Please direct all correspondence to: cilogue@msn.com. You may also use this site for arranging an author presentation on communication. Attendees felt the speaker is entertaining, uplifting, insightful and fun. "One of the best motivational speakers we've had, you'll be glad you scheduled him for your organizational event." The greatest compliment you can pay to Science Experiments for Beginners is your referral to friends and loved ones. For other copies, send check or money order to the publisher. This is "The Perfect Gift," every home should have one! Especially for grandparents. Should this lab book of compiled/collected beginning science experiments (dedicated to making the teaching of science better) serve to create new excitement, independent thought, personal discovery, desire and a positive attitude/interest in the field of science for students, it will have served its purpose. If it also encourages students to participate in future science fairs, it definitely will be labeled successful! Certainly today it can be said, "Science both rules and rocks!" -Charles H. "The journey in the tunnel of light was swift and long, joyful and painful, past memory, past history, past all knowledge of evil, past anger at his shooting and the separation from his family, until there was little that remained of the Earth being. Only life as it had been in the tunnel of light." Earth is a mistake in the Universe, a violent planet destined to be destroyed by nuclear war in 2070. William Blake, a visitor from a peaceful planet, believes that human violence can be cured through genetic and environmental manipulation, and that Earth should be saved. Blake looks like an exceptionally handsome human being and no one suspects he is an alien. He learns that Earth is an extremely violent planet where murders, mass shootings, wars, and genocides are commonplace. He also learns that it is a place of great natural beauty, creativity, and extraordinary love. As the action unfolds, Blake is consumed by the violence he seeks to end, as the story catapults toward a spectacular and unusual conclusion.

BB is a widow and reluctantly aging baby-boomer with a pot of money and loads of time. She is determined to take her granddaughters on a 21st Century Grand Tour. But it is not that easy. Fractured families are not uncommon today, nor are the bad feelings caused by an ugly divorce. Now BB must play nice to her former daughter-in-law in order to secure permission to take Emily out of the country. This global road trip covers eight major destinations; part crime caper, travel log, and family dynamics. There are always good intentions in anticipation of each location, but sadly these soon fall apart as BB has a way of finding mayhem and misunderstandings in any time zone. Wheels Up is comfortable often hilarious ride, and far easier than actually packing and getting on a plane. Bon Voyage

Rooted in the American experience, a century of African-American history is vividly portrayed in this story for young readers about two identically-named, twin rag dolls named Yomy. The Yomys are passed down through generations of children and come in contact with such historical figures as Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, and Josephine Baker. They are even present when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivers his famous I Have a Dream speech during the 1963 March on Washington. This historical tale and all the Yomy s dramatic adventures are enlivened with illustrations throughout the book by the author."
